The best sounding car still belongs to the C6R Corvette, and best looking cars are the Aston Martin in the Gulf livery. How cool is this, a Gulf 007 Aston Martin :

And check out the drivers of the 007 Aston Marting : Andrea Piccini and 2 ex-F1 drivers in Karl Wendlinger and Heinz Harald Frentzen.

Yes, the Audi won with Allan “Scottish Terrier” McNish, Rinaldo Capello and Tom Kristensen (who is now 8-time Le Mans champion). Shows that in endurance racing the fastest car does not always win. The Peugeot is around 3 sec per lap faster than the audi but all through the race the Peugeot had to make more pitstops than the Audi. Apart from using more fuel, the Peugeot’s tyres only last for 2 stints compared to the Audi’s 3 stints.

Too bad for JV, hope he will be back again next year.

    kudos to all that competed.

the in car footage form nite drive and also morning rain is terrifying……and that is already from a much modified Mulsane Straight. ( now with kinks….)

It is my personal aspiration to race at least once in my lifetime, in the Le Mans 24hrs……ANY SPONSORS LISTENING? he he

this year’s edition of the 24 hour le mans was quite a brilliant one.
