Participantwelcome to MYKART.
how to participate?
you can register yourself at our upcoming monthly races for K3 category. the category is cheap to run, good for the new comers to start learning the basic about race ethics, techniques and get to know mykart racers. the pay is RM100 per race for 3 heats (8 laps per heat).training?
since you don’t have kart of your own, you can difinitely practice at shah alam city karting track for RM35 per 10 minutes for the 80cc kart (this is the kart that you will be racing in K3 category) and when you’ve got bored with it, you can practice with the much powerful 100cc kart at RM80 per 10minutes. it is a lil bit costly, but starts slow and practice hard. i’m sure you’ll be good in no time.4 March 2011 at 3:17 am #9224TheFazz
Memberto join is easy. it is all self serve here (even during the race).
just go to the event notice (like for round 03 http://club.my-kart.org/node/3655), and you will see a table of participants.
use the “quote” function to the latest updated table (normally at the top of all comments), and add your name to the table. post. done.
see you at the track at 7:30am. pay. listen to safety briefing. drive when your name is called. volunteer where possible. 🙂

i saw that you posted your name on the K1 (125cc) list.
i have moved your name to the K3 (80cc) list, as all newcomers are required to start in K3.
to qualify for K1, the driver needs to be –
- a regular participant;
- has good driving ethics (on track and off track behaviour);
- is consistent & makes few mistakes;
- is a good team player (my-kart relies heavily on volunteers);
- a paid club member; and
- has provided the full K1 damage deposit.
hope this helps to clarify.

ParticipantHi Mos ,
Its good to know that you are keen in particiapting in racing event. for start you have to start with a 80cc K3 event. from there you can learn alot.
Trainning
You can do self trainning at CK circuit by paying the walk in RM 35 for 10 minutes. but please do not adopt bad habits as it willl be hard for you to change to proper habits later.We are planning to conduct a drive and racing techniques trainning for Beginners soon. If you are interested please PM me or call me at 016 223 2279
