myKART coaching session – CANCELLED

UPDATE 26 August 2005: The coaching session has to be cancelled. This date will be reserved for the 3rd myKART Mega Enduro.

This is a tentative booking of a coaching session for myKART members.

This follows the successful coaching session with Wai Leong at the beginning of 2004. In that first ever myKART coaching session, 20 myKARTers turned up for 4 separate sessions.

This year, a decision will need to be made in relation to whether the “syllabus” should cater for novice or expert amateur karters. We may even end up with both. However, more details needs to be worked out in relation to this.

Still to be decided, coz it will depend on the type of skills to be coached… novice vs intermediate.

Last year we had Wai Leong and his data logger, which was an real eye opener.

I / we would be interested especially if guys like Wai Leong is the coach.

How about (say) Raja Razman or Mikko Nassi?

I was even thinking of a specific session to get your hands dirty with kart setup. Perhaps only for the really serious myKARTers.

          2. I wouldn’t mind having either
I wouldn’t mind having either Razman or Makan Nasi as coach although I wouldn’t want to go on the KartQuest circuit in anything faster than a fun kart!

If Rotax are to be used, I would suggest Shah Alam, Morac or Sepang. It woudl be interesting to do the coaching at Morac.

Judging from the last coaching session, there will be at least 2 sessions per day. Perhaps one session can be for novice and the other for intermediate/advance.

I would probably need to attend both. I peaked for a few months after the coaching session and has been going downhill since…… 🙁

    1. I second the request for a 10
I second the request for a 100cc or 125cc coaching session. Morac would be nice, Shah Alam would be telling (finally someone telling me what the hell I’ve been doing wrong for so many months), and Sepang is fine too.

  3. Wai Leong, Razman or Makan Na
Wai Leong, Razman or Makan Nasi is fine with me. Track preferably S.Alam else Sepang!! I think i will get dizzy on Elite if its 125cc. Prefer 125cc.

Telemetry with explaination is a must. Like this can learn where go wrong faster.

I am not sure who else uses the telemetry. Only knew that Wai Leong has it, but heard that he seldom uses it now.

      1. I will definitely be keen to
I will definitely be keen to join in the coaching sessions. Wai Leong or Mikko Nassi sounds great.

Not yet fixed a time. Also trying to get a good arrangement with some pro karter. Wai Leong seems busy for now.

Was really looking forward to join this coaching session … but unfortunately, the date clashes with my company trip … Sigh !
