Just a suggestion to all teams out there:
Give your team a name rather than numbering them to avoid any confuse during race day. Sometimes during the driver change peak period, a misheard might happen. A good example is to follow Alien RT whereby they divided their group to Predator and Terminator rather than Alien RT 1 and Alien RT 2. Well, this is just a suggestion to help the marshals at work during race day. You may choose not to follow. Hehehehe….

Start the race in daylight and finish in the night so that there is a variety.

new race format
To all teams,
After a long discussion with the committees, we have come out with a final decision to change the race format to make the race much more interesting. Previously, we have 10 teams registered for the endurance and to have only 10 karts running at Sepang Go Kart Track is pretty much a boring race. So what we decided is to break all the teams into 2 teams and have 20 karts on the track. So the new race format is as below:
Drivers per team: 3 drivers
Duration: 2 hours race + 30 minutes practice & qualifying
Many might be thinking the race will not be so interesting changing the endurance from 4 hours to 2 hours only. So let me break it down and have you guys understand how exciting and a hardcore test to all drivers.
NEW FORMAT
2 hours = 120 minutes
120 minutes / 3 drivers = Approx. 40 minutes (including driver change)
Stints per driver = One (1)
Lap times for 100cc at Sepang Go Kart Track = Approx. from 50 seconds to 60 seconds
** So every driver will have to do a minimum of 40 laps before the pit window is open for driver change.
So, all team leaders: start rearrange your teams and strategy. Best thing, 20 karts racing is always better and more interesting than 10 karts racing.
time schedule
Time schedule on race day:
5:00PM – Registration starts
6:00PM – Registration ends. Drivers briefing
6:30PM – Kart balloting and ballast installation
7:00PM – PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING STARTS
7:30PM – Practice and Qualifying ends. Karts grid arrangement
8:00PM – RACE STARTS
10:00PM – RACE FINISH.
10:15PM – Prize giving. Event ends & Makan~!

Additional rules:
For each kart that needs ballast, a refundable deposit of RM100 must be given to the ballast marshal. It is the team responsibility to return the actual amount of ballast after the race and RM100 will be refunded. RM100 will be forfeited from the team if there is a shortage of ballast.
