    [quote=TheFazz]Dear all,

I need to get your quick feedback on the fees for K3 in our existing event format.

they aim to increase the cost (if we opt for the new karts) from RM80 to RM100.

I propose that we stick with the **older** 80cc karts and the current RM80+RM10 fees until we can sort something out with citykarting on a sustainable basis. I believe this is the way to go, so if you disagree please give me your views ASAP.

    Cheers

That means it will be RM110 for the “so call” new karts with I have a problem getting a “grip” of it, I will stick to the old karts with RM80+RM10.
Let Citykarting come back to us with a much better rate.

    Naza,
Any plans of opening a new karting track?

I don’t mind the older karts…rm 100 is too big a jump for most of us…IMHO

Agree with you Patrick, the so called “newer karts” is relative….soon it will be bashed and it is doubtful than that the rate will be reduced.. would it?

Opening a new track? that would be a real challenge indeed for all mykart members laa…

    Hi all,
I think the main problem is all the increase price happen just in this year.
    from rm75 for last 2 years to 80 to 90 now 100…for K3
It’s a bit difficult for some parties …
let’s us try to talk to citykarting to increase the rm10 start only next year lar, sometimes must
give some sweet talk to wan shin(any my-kart member can kau tim her) pls help to talk only…
firstly I thought the ambulance stanby was paid by citykarting, then is still the members money too…
we been getting more members now but i’m afraid with this express price up for K3 so fast, members runing away !
tell them every year we have 12 series race for k2 & k3 ,2 to 3 groups every race, then 3 series mega endurance, every endurance ,for half day they made rm4-5k too….
they also must contribute my-kart a bit lar…
also many members go for secret pratice before the race, also extra for them…
or else we dont need the stanby ambulance lar…
    then it’s rm90
or let’s us decide this saturday ?

    Steward – just one clarification:

we started with RM75 >> then increased to RM80 (new rates) and then >> RM90 (to include the ambulance standby as well as build a fund for year end). The increase proposed by Citykarting is an additional RM20 (so to RM110). I have said to Wan Shin that this is not acceptable so we shall use the older karts.

I realise that this kind of changes are not good. Somehow we must find a sustainable position. But this requires heavy discussions with Citykarting. I will need somebody to help me manage the CityKarting relationship.

Must start finding sponsor! RM500 per round can help reduce the costs for K3 runners by around RM15 per person. Who is willing to sell backside? Azlan lah, since his backside is so famous already :p

You did mention this before, and I am trying to manage this. Quite clearly we need to have an exclusive agreement up front, and I shall work on this for 2006. We now have little option aside from exclusivity as sadly, we see fewer kart operators running these days which gives Citykarting an almost monopoly. So their bargaining hand is stronger than ours.

It is therefore important that we develop our long term strategies in order to gain a stronger position in the market. We are already working on this, but I need and welcome more passionate participation here. myKART’s strength is its core values which support a strong vision for motorsports in the country. We need to really take advantage of these values and vision to strengthen ourselves even further.

Nothing is going to be easy, and we have to accept and expect these challenges. One thing’s for certain, I cannot do this alone.

bro – in addition to what I said earlier, I cannot blame Citykarting for doing what they do. They are after all in business to make money. So this is natural, especially in a pseudo monopoly. I believe we can maintain our rates. But that does not mean that we will not have to revisit this later. So again, it is about what other value does myKART create? Sure we are providing a steady income. But what else?

    Dear Bro Fazz,

I appreciate what u hav done so far… tak semua orang sanggup to do most of the work that u hav done… If u remember I hav given my suggestions of forming the “Strong Front” earlier?… and now it’s on its way.. good for My-kart.. of course I will always support My-kart growth.

Yes, City-karting is doing business… but what I’ve been thinking and try to understand is that can’t they give such a priority to us regular customer that has been given them a fixed monthly income of RM5000 to RM6000 (may be my calculations wrong..) ?? or may be that amount is too little for them?.., we are the regular customer that using their kart like our own… and we did always put safety comes first…. and so many good things about My-kart but they still ignore it??… I don’t know what to say… but keep up a good work Fazz.. I will always with u..

    Don’t mind… just a thought from me..

Oh!… ya, don’t forget to register my name for this saturday event, I think I can make it this time…

    Regards

    Azmee

Bro – thanks for the vote of confidence. But there is no turning back for myKART and we have to move things forward. So the more help we have, the stronger & faster we can move things.

Agreed. We just need to build on the relationship together. We must be careful to ensure that we work together to build this and not be tempted to take advantage of each other. What myKART needs to do is to explain to Citykarting our long term plans. And that it is both our interest to help each other to work towards these long term goals.

Steward. On costs, I believe Wai Leong calls the shots. But anyway, perhaps Jules, you and I can discuss with Uncle and Wai Leong.

if rm20 increase is a bt too much coz only the engine is new,
    the chasis not new!
they just combine all in one make chasis.
in this case, will prefere the old karts first,we will try to discuss with
    citykarting on sat.
for the time being, for y suggestion,rm90 is a fair price for k3 at the moment.
    petrol belum naik lagi lar.
