I am no expert, but what I can say is if one chassis is good for me, it does not mean that it is good for you. It boils down to driving style, IMHO. But perhaps Jules and other sifoos can help here?
I too am no expert in which is better than the other until I fulfill my dream of collecting all of them….but those fellas in city karting are a fortunate lot in this respect. Talk to Wai Leong…try that!
However, there is one thing for sure that I would advise my friends though. If and when you fall to the temptation (isn’t it dude?) of swiping that card or signing on the dotted line, be doubly sure that it is a brand with lots of spare parts back up. This is not a problem if one has a a couple or more karts.

to complicate the situation – within the same kart brand, there will be some design which is more suited for soft compound tyres and some, harder compound tyres.
Tube sizing, shaft size and the ability to stiffen up the chassis all play a part – on top of the different geometry of the bends.
My advise is – drive the kart you want to buy and see if you like it. To go that extra 0.5 sec ( assuming you are already that consistent ) requires lots of experimenting and laps. chamber, toe-in, front tract, rear track and front/rear stiffness are all variables you can play with….not forgetting tyre pressures.
The comments on parts is correct but then again – most things are interchangeable, unless you have trick brakes like a Brembo on a CRG, a 6 pot MBA etc, or if you insist ori parts all the time.
Chassis tuning is a black art and what you set in the morning may not work in the afternoon when the track has more rubber…..I dun even want talk abt rain although that’s not so difficult.
my best advise is buy from someone who knows the start settings of your kart, and u tune from there – hence buying from a shop is easiest for this aspect.
Eh, Anyone hear ah? Swiss Hutless Is assembling karts here. Prices can go down to 13000 at least now. whoa!
i like Tony Kart and CRG chassis (base on rentals). suits me well. dunno why.

Guess need to sit down with uncle Ng & Wai Leong to gather a bit more information. Need to check with them also and see whether they offer basic kart set-up course or not.
Hmmm.. how about asking them to set-up a course on basic kart, set-ups & kart driving skills (as earlier planned).

You buy kart from them – it will come set-up to your dimensions and settings for Shah Alam track.
For newbies, getting the consistent times of plus minus 0.2 sec will take you months of practise, unless your surname Scuhmacher…..once you that consistent & physically strong enugh, then you will benefit from setup….
someone go check the swiss hutless thingy and report!

wats the pros and cons compared to non-direct feel? does it perform well with soft tyres?
unlike arrow karts. arrow tends to circle bigger and bigger. i guess arrow good for exit speeds then.
I was at 911 Zentrum (now called Rosedi Motorsport). Their new Yamaha 100cc kart will be launched in January. Seems that Uncle Naza has already been there to talk to them 😉
Hope we can get an invite when they do the testing!

Yes I did bro, but he is not committing anything yet in terms of promoting the Rosedi package . Price wise, its about 12k-13k complete….but he reminded me that that is not finalised by the boss yet. This was like at least 2 months ago. Will monitor this….in case Patrick suddenly spring an inquiry on this one.
