3.1 Early Bird payment: RM2000 per team
3.2 Full payment must be made before 15 November 2008

[b]4.0 Team Format[/b]
4.1 Drivers per Team: 3 to 8 Drivers
4.2 Duration for practice and qualifying: 20 minutes
4.3 No restriction for numbers of driver change during practice and qualifying
4.4 Every team is allowed to bring in any sponsors of their own. The side pods of the kart are reserved for the sponsors. The front pods are reserved for my-kart usage
4.5 Minimum pit stops per team: 5 pit stops
4.6 Compulsory to do one mandatory stop
4.7 Minimum average weight per person: 70kg (after divided by the number of drivers
4.8 There is no exceptions for female drivers or a team with all female drivers
4.9 When the team does not meet the minimum weight requirements, ballast will be added to the team’s kart
4.10 Example for the weight calculation:
Example (1): 6 Drivers in a team
Driver 1 = 50kg
Driver 2 = 55kg
Driver 3 = 58kg
Driver 4 = 48kg
Driver 5 = 60kg

[b]5.0 Registration Procedures, Practice and Qualifying Procedures[/b]
5.1 Registration starts from 0730 (7.30am) to 0830 (8.30am)
5.2 Each team will consist of a minimum of 3 and maximum of 8 drivers
5.3 If the minimum numbers of drivers (3) are not present to register before closing time (8.30am), the team will be disqualified and 90% of the total amount will be refunded
5.4 We do not accept late registrations on race day
5.5 All drivers MUST be present for registration
5.6 All drivers will be weighed without their racing gears during the registration
5.7 Kart allocation will be balloted
5.8 Ballast will be fastened to each assigned kart before the practice and qualifying
5.9 No restriction for numbers of driver change during practice and qualifying
5.10 If there is any change of kart during practice and qualifying, ballast must be transferred to the new assigned kart before going out of the pit
5.11 If any team is found without the appropriate ballast, the team will be penalized and will start from the back of the grid with the correct ballast fastened
[b]6.0 Race Procedures[/b]
6.1 Race will commence on a rolling start
6.2 During formation lap, no overtaking or changing places are allowed before the start / finish line. Pit window is open from start to chequered flag
6.3 A punch card will be given to every team to record every pit stop
6.4 Teams are to make a minimum of 5 pit stops for driver change, fuel stop or mandatory stop
6.5 Every team is compulsory to make the mandatory stop
6.6 All registered drivers must drive at least one session
6.7 If any registered driver did not drive for their minimum session, the team will be given a 5 laps per driver penalty at the end of the race. No 30 seconds penalty for Rule 6.7
6.8 The minimum session is defined as at least 30 minutes accumulative for a driver.

[b]7.0 Pit Stops Procedures[/b]
7.1 Drivers must drive with caution when entering the pit lane failing which the team will be given a 30 seconds penalty
7.2 During driver change, team can leave the engine running
7.3 During fuel stop, driver can maintain at his / her seat with the engine turned off
7.4 During mandatory stop, driver must leave the seat with the engine turned off
7.5 All records must be done by the driver and not team members
7.6 During any pit stops, if the team decide not to do a driver change, or fuel stop, whereby the team just want to fulfill the minimum 5 pit stops requirement; the driver must do the recording of the pit stop. No team members are to help
7.7 If any team are found not following any of the Pit Stop Procedures Rules and Regulations, the team will be given a 30 seconds penalty
[b]8.0 Mandatory Stop for Technical Inspection[/b]
8.1 Team must make a minimum of one mandatory stop for technical inspection and tire change during the race
8.2 All technical inspections and repairs are on first come first serve basis
8.3 If during the technical inspections and repairs, the mechanics require more time to service or repair the kart, the team shall decide to either wait for the technical inspections or repairs to be completed or to take a spare kart with a 30 seconds penalty excluding the time needed to transfer all the ballast to the spare kart
8.4 Team must inform the marshals of any kart change. Failure to do so will result in a 30 seconds penalty
8.5 Mechanical repairs are only be done by City Karting mechanics
8.6 If any team is found adjusting or tuning the engine, the team will be disqualified and require to retire their race
8.7 Teams are only allow to adjust the tire pressure
8.8 If any team did not make a mandatory stop before the chequered flag, the team will be penalized with a 2 laps penalty.
[b]9.0 Mechanical Failures[/b]
9.1 Any mechanical failures during the race, the team can choose to retire from the race or to push the kart back to the pit for a mechanical repair
9.2 If the team choose to continue the race, only the team members are allowed to push the kart back to the pit
9.3 All repairs are on first come first serve basis
9.4 The team shall decide to either wait for the repairs to be completed or to take a spare kart with a 30 seconds penalty excluding the time needed to transfer all the ballast to the spare kart
9.5 The damage kart must be in the pit area before the team can change to a spare kart
9.6 Please remember, all spare karts are only normal rental karts from City Karting
9.7 The mechanic will return the original kart to the team after repair at the earliest opportunity. The team shall decide whether to drive the spare kart or to change back to the original kart with a 30 seconds penalty excluding the time needed to transfer all the ballast to the spare kart
[b]10.0 Rain, Restarts and Race Termination[/b]
10.3 If the rain conditions are too dangerous or would cause kart failures, the race will need to be stopped
10.4 A red flag will be waved to indicate the race being stopped
10.5 The results of the race will be based on the positions recorded at the end of the previous completed lap by the race leader prior to the race being stopped
10.6 Teams are not allowed to do any refueling or tire change or mechanical repairs and adjustment while waiting for the race to restart under a red flag condition
10.7 When the race is restarted from a red flag condition, the teams shall start according to the positions from the previous race section prior to the stoppage. Timing difference between teams will be reduced to a single-file formation. However, lap differences shall be retained
10.8 A driver change during a race restart from a red flag condition is not counted as a pit stop
10.9 During a restart from any point of the race, no overtaking or changing positions and returning to the appoint positions after that; are allowed before the start / finish line
10.10 If any team are found not following any of the Rain, Restarts and Race Termination Rules and Regulations, the team will be given a 30 seconds penalty
[b]11.0 Accidents and Emergencies[/b]
11.1 If any accident has occurred, whereby attention is needed, depending on the severity of the accident, a yellow flag shall be waved or a safety kart will be sent out, or in a serious accident; the race will be red flagged until necessary attention can be rendered
11.2 The race can be restarted after the accident has been cleared
11.3 When the race is restarted, the teams shall start according to the positions from the previous race section prior to the stoppage. Timing difference between teams will be reduced to a single-file formation. However, lap differences shall be retained
11.4 During a safety kart at any point of the race, no overtaking or changing positions and returning to the appoint positions after that; are allowed
11.5 Teams are allowed to make their pit stop during the safety kart period and will have to rejoin the race from the back of the grid
11.6 If any team are found not following any of the Accident and Emergencies Rules and Regulations, the team will be given a 30 seconds penalty
[b]12.0 Step by Step Guide for a 30 seconds Penalty[/b]
12.1 Driver must drive to their pit area
12.2 Driver must turn off the engine and remain at the seat
12.3 Time starts to count as soon as the engine is turned off
12.4 During the 30 seconds, team members cannot touch the driver or the kart
12.5 Team members are allowed to start the engine once 30 seconds is over
12.6 Driver is allowed to exit the pit
[b]30 Seconds Penalty Rules and Regulations[/b]
12.7 Team can remain in the race for a maximum of 2 laps once a penalty is given
12.8 Failure to pit for the penalty will have another 30 seconds added up to the previous penalty
12.9 No driver change or refueling is allowed during the penalty
12.10 If any team are found not following any of the Penalty Guide and Penalty Rules and Regulations, the team will be given a 30 seconds penalty
[b]13.0 Other Matters[/b]
13.1 Please report to the marshals, if you see any teams breaking the rules if the marshals did not notice
13.2 It takes 2 teams to make a case for any report
13.3 The race organizers may abandon, cancel or postpone the competition due to not receiving more than the desired entries or unforeseen circumstances including Acts of God
13.4 The race organizers may refuse an entry without giving any reason
13.5 The race organizers may deliberate on any issues not stated in these regulations and their decision shall be final
13.6 The race organizers have the right to stop the race immediately due to any unavoidable circumstances as the case may be.
