KART 2005 series

The annual KART series has been running since 2003. Its main objectives is to provide amateurs with a series that allows them to compete with fellow amateurs in rental karts as well as non-pro prepared personal karts.

The KART series is a test of individual ability and attitude over a 10 race calendar. The series balances speed with strategy, as karters will be required in certain circumstances to make the most of what they have.

This section collects the KART 2005 series reports.

2005 myKART Mega Endurance Series

In 2005, myKART introduced the myKART Mega Endurance Series which pits teams of myKART drivers against each other in a Mega Endurance of 2 hours.

The inaugural event on 8 Jan 2005 was a great success, thanks in large part to Steward’s initiative and organising effort.

myKART aims to continue the Mega Endurance as a series in 2005 with an event every quarter. The format may change to allow for longer endurances. So stay tuned.

Shah Alam Stadium Kart Circuit

Henzee clinched Round 1 of the K3 KART series 2005 after edging out the close challenges from Irwan @ Cardula in 2nd, Tom Tan in 3rd and Melvin Goh in 4th. All four drivers qualified with the same 36 points making it one of the most closely contested K3 battles to date.

Round 01, K2 race report – Udi dominates, Muhaymin stars

Saturday, 5 February 2005
Shah Alam Stadium Kart Circuit

Round 1 of the KART series 2005 ended in a dominant display of supremacy by Salehudin @ Udi who won both qualifying race and the final event.

Udi opened his championship account by beating Brian E in the first qualifying, and K2 promotee Razak in the second qualifying.

Second overall was Hafidz Fahro Rozi who dispensed with a fighting Khairul Hizam in the first qualifying. Hafidz was again in top form in the final when he overtook Fazz Rahman early in the race and fended off Udi up to few corners before the chequered flag.

Fazz finished third by fending off a determined star debutant A Muhaymin for the last 3 laps.

* note: Brian F had to leave due to feeling sore from an earlier incident in one of the K3 Final. Henzee was offered by Brian to drive in his place.

** note: Jules Ng had an urgent need to leave early and thus requested to race in the first K2 final (final C) meaning that he would lose the opportunity to score points. In effect he is a DNS for the final A… but still had a chance to race before rushing off.

Extensive use of formula enables the event organiser to assign grid positions and kart numbers according to the standard myKART grid formation rules.

Additional formula will assign scores to each results and allow the results to be ranked in order. This spreadsheet also tabulates the whole event scoring and ranks which will need to be separately updated into the league table.

Attachment A: Driver database records, entry lists

Whenever myKART organises any league events, participants entry confirmations and responses needs to be recorded for administrative purposes. To this end, myKART uses an MS Excel spreadsheet to track member names and basic details, their responses and also the results.

The excel file is attached within this section.

How do I register at my-KART.org?

In my recent race invitation, I requested that responses be done online. The reason for this is simple:[list]

I will allow a transition so don’t worry if you could not respond via the website… but please do let me know so that I can assist where I can.

Anyway – many of you will note that I had refreshed the website. This will include you having to re-register in order to post on the website. Registration is simple… just go to:
