Agenda for the day is to have testing in the morning, and karts tuning thereafter with the race starting at around 12pm. Each team will need to ensure that the karts are ballotted and setup properly before the race which will be later in the day. So please allocate full day.

0900 - 1000: team registration, weighing in & ballotting
1000 - 1030: Team & Driver Briefings
1030 - 1200: kart preparation
1230 - 1430: my-KART Mega Enduro Race
1500 - 1600: Refreshments and prize giving

Each team will need to do the following:

form a team

nominate team principal and assistant principal (team principals should only enter the same teams as prior enduros)

the team principals are both not allowed to change teams – we should avoid a proliferation of teams in the enduro championship

the team will score points only if one or both of the principals are participating

the team principals shall select the drivers (4 drivers total including principals)

driver weights: male, an average of 67.5kgs per driver and female, an average of 60kgs per driver (eg. if team has 4 male drivers, total minimum weight must be 67.5×4 = 270kgs… if team has 3 male and 1 female, then minimum weight must be 67.5×3 + 57.5 = 260kgs)
Further details of preferred formats are being worked out together with the associated rules. Please tune in this website regularly for updates.

Basing on the response, will the event still run with 5 teams or less?

IMHO, I find it not worth the effort to run it.

So far we have the following teams interested:

        Novice
        Aliens
        PCNet
        Gila Racing

Are there any more teams out there that are interested to participate? Please confirm by this Tuesday. I will review the number of teams registered by Wed and make a call based on the response. Nohad is right, it’s not worth running the race with 5 teams or less. In fact, I would prefer to run at least 7 teams like the last round…please register ASAP.

Btw , I will not race so Tail Happy is looking for 2 drivers – Iskandar Mildseven is in if he’s interested, and hence we need another driver…

        Folks,
It appears that the level of enthusiasm since the last endurance race is declining further. Any idea why?…too much karting perhaps or maybe not as exciting as the sprint races?…what? Might as well save the money for mandi bunga + urut in preparation for rd 6….kap!..lai lai!

most of malaysian nowadays tend to spend more time at home compared those days inc. myself due to fuel increase but notice more vehicles on the road. Funny.

          Too much karting? Never!!!

Spending too much time on karting?
Aahh! This is one of the main problem. Home minister must be bising bisinging because you spend every 2 weeks at the track + I believe it is a budget problem also! Now this brings back the problem to the Home minister also.
          Haiyooohh! So how lah?

Hmmm, with the RM160/-, enough to mandi bunga + urut oh!

          Bus (to & fro) = RM90/-
          Urut (Thai traditional) – 240 BAHT (2 hours) + tips = RM30/-
          Mandi bunga = RM30/-

Still got RM10/- balance for your meal oh!

  5. petrol head
At the risk of sounding like a real addict, I say we race. Split up into teams of 3 if necessary. I think it’s a great event. And kart quest do a great job of kart preparation. Change the rules, make it not a point scoring event…whatever. But let’s race anyway.

Depending on what Kartquest will be charging us for 120 mins, 90mins, 60mins, it is expensive for 3 to share the cost if at current rate.
Luen suggested we split into a team of 2 and run for 60 mins for the heck of it. (But that also depends on what Kartquest will be charging us)

Can oso!…..team of 2 for 60 mins!. So, 4 teams of four can be split into 8 teams of 2 drivers for the heck of it!
Than we will have Young Aliens 1 and Retired Aliens 2, Not so Novice 1, No more Novice 2, Gila 1 and Gila 2 and so on…..hehehe.

yeah, instead of 60 minutes for a team of 4, we will have 2 teams of member of 2 (example gila1 and gila2), race 30 minutes. Wining team will get the contructor points just like F1 but of course the points gotta split to half. Let’s just say finishing 1,2 will get 18 points in total. Those points will also contribute to championship points

Any team can participate in 2 teams or 1 therefore no need to worry about the 3rd or 4th driver.

If we can shorten the race duration by half, and running a team of 2 drivers, logically we are still paying the same amount of $$$, but not sure if the operator speaking the same logic. 🙂

Just my enthusiasm overruled my mind to come out with the wildest idea.

Sure, if they have fix my engine….otherwise the yellow pace car will do……bah! they must do something about the alignmemnt…it almost dislocate Norhafizah’s elbows.

      2. practice session
OK, let’s make it an informal practice session at CK this Sat. Luen can count how many times he laps us rental karters…Who’s interested? Is CK free? Let’s go early before it’s too hot.

I have no problem with that, but if no event going on at CK, their operation time will be 10:00am. But the actual fact is, 11:00am sometimes, you know Malaysian time boleh. 🙂

Let me call CK and confirm this Friday when I am back. But Saturday definately going. How about that?

They open at 10.00am but by time they push out the karts, normally it is 11.00am already. But that was previously, don’t know about now.
Might drop by at CK tomorrow evening (if no rain) on my way back from Port Klang and check out the availability too.
Hey, sometime you might catch Naza & son carrying out secret practising too.

Hey, sometime you might catch Naza & son carrying out secret practising too.
…cannot secret secret oledi. Nowadays every Ah Chong, Ahmad, Mutu and Tom practice at CK because nowhere else to go. Can expect terrible kart jams due to practice by public, tourists, beginners, show offs, mykarters and club racers preparing for the next weekened KKS race. Last weekened….quite a few skirmishes between 100 cc show offs (GFs smiling approvingly at the pit la that’s why!) insisting to pass 80 cc mat rempits blocking the path at three abreast.

So, better come early at 11 – 12.00 pm with take aways. 4 pm onwards is reserved for the rain maker….another reason for the track congestion. Sunday is just impossible for flying laps.

            See you there folks….sawadee kap!

          5. CK track is free of event on
CK track is free of event on 20 May 06 bcos Tom Tan cancelled his pre-booking.

Sunday is off limits till 5pm as MBS has booked the track for Kursus MBS. Lucky fellas!

Digi-Ericsson is having somekind of competion using 100cc karts this evening.

Spoken to Wan Shin, CK will open for business after 9.30am.

          10. Any plans of having this
Any plans of having this round replaced in December 06?

Since Rd10 ends on 4 Nov 06 & Endurance Rd6 ends on 18 Nov 06, we don’t have any races in December, could we arrange for one?

Might encounter karting withdrawal symptom during this period with no kart racing activity. Jason G will need his medication for no karting activity.

Endurance on K3 karts at CK also can.

            Any takers?

have to since the green light has been given, we should have the majority to decide whether to have the last endurance of the year at Sepang with 100cc or at CK with 80cc and we need the decision quick as we will have to book the track.
Majority votes will decide the venue.

Team Novice = Sepang or CK Shah Alam oso can

But IMPOV, CK should be venue for the year end bash as it will be cheaper, nearer and we should still have some balance change in our pocket to foot the year end bash party just like last year (if we are having the party).

This should be the best chance for the K2 & K3 guys & gals to interact and we should not be surprised to have an all girls team in this endurance.

So will Norhafizah, Angeline, Marcy + TBA be forming a team?

But IMPOV, CK should be venue for the year end bash as it will be cheaper, nearer and we should still have some balance change in our pocket to foot the year end bash party just like last year (if we are having the party).

This should be the best chance for the K2 & K3 guys & gals to interact and we should not be surprised to have an all girls team in this endurance.

So will Norhafizah, Angeline, Marcy + TBA be forming a team?

sounds like a good idea. any other thoughts?

For CK part, I could check with Wan Shin on track availability sometime this week but on the pricing side, will need my-KART committee to negotiate.

            Still game for this?

From the lesson learnt during MLF race, all karts shall be filled up to 1/2 tank of fuel only to ensure that a re-fuel will be carried out during the race.

patrick – I am game. feel free to create an event appointment to put this event on the official my-kart calendar. this can be our end of year party. i would like to have a few celebrity racers there as well. let’s get a small committee to work this one out.

  6. ME 3
fast n Furious will be there. Drivers to be confirmed but probably the normal line-up of me, Shahnaz, Eric and Mardiah.
there’s a Shell event immediately before so if any teams need additional drivers you might be able to pick up a couple of people.
