The my-KART Mega Endurance (“ME”) series enters into its 2nd year in 2006. “Privateer” teams have the chance to race against each other at tracks such as Shah Alam and Sepang on the 100cc karts. Which teams will be challenging the likes of Tail Happy Racing, The Fast n Furious and Gila Racing?
The plan in 2006 is to run 6 rounds of the my-KART ME series. The key is teamwork and consistency throughout the whole season.
Details of the event is as follows:
date: Saturday, 29 July 2006 time: 0900hours **don't be late venu: Sepang Kart Circuit / 100cc kart: using Kartquest's 100cc 2-stroke karts fees: RM640 per team duration: 2 hours inclusive practice
Refer to the 2005 standings (4 rounds).
Agenda for the day is to have testing in the morning, and karts tuning thereafter with the race starting at around 12pm. Each team will need to ensure that the karts are ballotted and setup properly before the race which will be later in the day. So please allocate full day.
0900 - 1000: team registration, weighing in & ballotting 1000 - 1030: Team & Driver Briefings 1030 - 1200: kart preparation 1230 - 1430: my-KART Mega Enduro Race 1500 - 1600: Refreshments and prize giving
Each team will need to do the following:[list=1]
[*]form a team
[*]nominate team principal and assistant principal (team principals should only enter the same teams as prior enduros)
[*]the team principals are both not allowed to change teams – we should avoid a proliferation of teams in the enduro championship
[*]the team will score points only if one or both of the principals are participating
[*]the team principals shall select the drivers (4 drivers total including principals)
[*]driver weights: male, an average of 70kgs per driver and female, an average of 60kgs per driver (eg. if team has 4 male drivers, total minimum weight must be 70×4 = 280kgs… if team has 3 male and 1 female, then minimum weight must be 70×3 + 60 = 270kgs)

The rumours finally confirmed. Team Rapids have got their final driver. News confirmed that they had serious close door negotiations with McLaren’s boss, Gon Tennis and the reported that there was intense arguments heard from inside of the room.
After several hrs of delebration with no one leaving to pee, finally a delighted Assistant Team Principal of Rapids, Shaeran the “Gagak Man” aka kaki lumba haram dashed out of the room and cheered ‘he is in,, he is in’. So it’s confirmed that the Rapids have a full go in their team.

chiett!!! you’re lucky i was a bit rusty with my “jampi”….well next time i’ll have to inform my special curry puff supplier earlier…hahaha
anyway..i had a lot of fun…the most fun indeed since i left for abu dhabi back in Jan…meeting old frens(some are old frens & some others are old frens..hehehe), getting into the suit which i sorely miss…& climbing into the kart seat like it was the first time for me…i was really nervous at first…but eventually felt more comfortable…only thing was…the kart has no low end power…naza & tarmizi did a very good job during their runs but i was badly affected after 10 minutes into my race…no power at all except for the long straight…& everyone was having a field day overtaking me…
although i didn’t have a good end result..i have no professional training…i have done my best… i have no regrets;)
hehehe

Capt., that kart was found wanting in low end during the testing and inspite of some tweaking by Razman, it was still not good enough to keep pace with the leaders. Our last driver tried to do “something” but unfortunately landed himself in a costly misadventure……sigh!
Meanwhile, Team Novice aka Buaya Siam magic did worked…..something to do with that mandi bunga thing in Phuket, I ‘m sure but maybe mandi pasir is better?….(grin).
