I would like to invite all my-KART members and their families to lunch at my place. The lunch & fun will be at 2pm. Please let me know if you are coming by confirming on this thread. Also let me know how many mouths I should feed, as well as if you have any special dietary requirements.

Lunch menu is to be confirmed, but I aim to cater for some sambal udang, daging dinding & spicy fried chicken.

Tennis – social knockabout and friendly games

Tennis

Format : basically knockaround for about 1 hour, if got the numbers then we play a friendly game of doubles.

PS can rainman do the rain dance on Thursday? I don’t think the haka works on rain coz rugby players love to play in rain…….

my-KART official launch & press conference

This will the date and time for my-KART’s official launch.

my-KART was recently registered as “Kelab my-Kart Selangor”. The launch is to celebrate this important milestone for my-KART since its founding in 2002 while expanding its base network of members and participants throughout Selangor.

This launch will include a number of events from the round 6 of the K2 & K3 racing series, a media / VIP / sponsors race and a 1 hour Inter-Company & Car Club (“IC3”) team race.

The launch is aimed at introducing my-kart to corporations, potential partners, the wider community and the media

The launch will provide an opportunity for corporations to be involved in a community, entertainment and recreational competency building initiative.

IC3 2007 launch race

The Inter-Company & Car Club series (“IC3”) will be the second my-KART organised annual IC3 Challenge.

This event aims to generate greater awareness and recognition of amateur karting as a viable alternative recreational activity for people in the corporate world.

The intent is to attract major companies and brands to the amateur karting circle with the idea of getting a linkage between corporate sponsorship and promotional activities with karting and other motorsports categories.

This event will be based on invitations from existing members of myKART.

Consideration will be given towards publicising this event to gain more mileage out of the corporate participation.

Interested my-KART members should start now by setting up their own corporate teams and informing their marketing department of this opportunity.

Format will be team-relay based. Each team shall have 3 drivers racing over 40 minutes.

Each team will need to do the following:

  1. form a team
  2. nominate team principal and assistant principal (team principals should only enter the same teams as prior IC3 rounds)
  3. the team principals are both not allowed to change teams – we should avoid a proliferation of teams in the enduro championship
  4. the team will score points only if one or both of the principals are participating
  5. the team principals shall select the drivers (3 drivers total including principals)
  6. driver weights: male, an average of 70kgs per driver and female, an average of 60kgs per driver (eg. if team has 3 male drivers, total minimum weight must be 70×3 = 210kgs… if team has 2 male and 1 female, then minimum weight must be 70×2 + 60 = 200kgs)

my-KART will be having monthly TT (teh tarik) sessions open for all members. This is just to hang out, chat and get to know each other.

The sessions will be on every 3rd Friday of the month.

my-KART – Pitstop.com.my – A1 Team Malaysia race

All my-kart members, pitstop.com.my members and fans of the A1 Team Malaysia are invited to join the special “race with the fans” event featuring the A1 Team Malaysia crew and drivers.

The event format will be team based race. We are targeting to get 18 teams of 3 drivers per team – for a 60 minutes endurance. Practice is another 10mins and qualifying another 10mins.

Karts used will be 80cc for all = RM300/team.
