Round 2, KART 2005 series

The 2005 KART season continues with seasoned myKARTers battle it out with new challengers and old hands alike in order to claim top honours… and hence, bragging rights as THE BEST AMATEUR KARTER in the Klang Valley *grin*.

Expect some close racing throughout the year as many of the drivers from continue to improve their performance and gain vital time on the regulars.

        Unfortunately, I have to give this round a miss. There is a drift competition the next day on 6 March, opp the kart track, which I am involved in. Those that like to drift in karts I can help arrange for a kart drifting exhibition!

    hey not fair… check the coming events and only 3 races falls on 3rd saturday… arrrghhh… n i wrk all saturdays except 3rd week, not that i have anything to do on saturday at work… gotta find excuz, gotta find excuz… tell boss mc.. client appointments..
    sigh! with this rate i don’t think i’ll b able to get enough points to promote to k2…

      Sorry friend, whilst we try to have the events on either 1st or 3rd Saturday, I’ve found that 1st Saturday tends to always win out because of the recent gaji time. Hence, preference will always be on 1st Saturday.

      Hi Kelvin. I would place all new comers to the myKART races in the K3 (80cc) category first. Promotion will be based on observed competency and / or race results and / or proven higher category experience in other clubs/events.

      Placing unknown drivers in the K3 category is necessary to ensure that safety is not compromised and that drivers develop sufficient “race” experience before moving into faster kart categories. I trust you understand.

    Jason Lu informed me that Alvin J and Jules are confirmed for the K2 class in round 2.

      Naliza informs me that Khairul Hizam wants to do the K3 class in round 2. Khairul will be on wait list along with Rizal, Tg Sofnis etc.

      On a related note, I may increase K3 to 30 depending on how many we have for K2. Better if we can have about 16 100cc karts so we can run 12/13 per race in K2 and hence have only two K2 groups.

      Will check with Citykarting, but no promises.

  26. Yusnee, Angeline, Gan Ping an
    Yusnee, Angeline, Gan Ping and Ali Amir informed me that they will have to decline round 2 participation. So the participation list is updated as above (in the main / first posting on this thread).

    We now have 24 K2 and 30 K3 drivers. We will run 3 groups each which will mean that there will be 18 races altogether. I would like everybody’s cooperation to turn up at 0730hrs so we can start quickly.

    I will also need volunteers to conduct the race administration:
