“Keep It Sweet & Simple”[/quote]I don’t think CK will too happy with this idea as it would mean that they would lose some revenue on the private 125cc karters + their normal rental karts.
They might charge us extra $$$$$

ParticipantFazz, can we form a list of task for people to volunteer??
Once we know e work force… you can focus on other areas which need extra attention.
If there’s sufficient volunteers we can segregate them to handle different category (i.e. K1, K2, K3) and also from the volunteer list you can appoint one to be e leader (to ensure smooth operation..) so less headache during the race day…I’ll form e “dummy grids†4u (would like to volunteer to record e “lap chart”…. but my eyesight is not so gud) 😉

ParticipantMuch depends on the number of karts available and time window currently agreed with CK ( 2 pm ). If the number of drivers keep climbing, we have to book beyond 2 pm and live with paying more…….if we can afford it with the volume increase. In my view, the mix of K1, K2 and K3 races has very strong appeal which is sort of similar to AAM sanctioned races involving cadet, junior, senior and veteran categories running together. This K1/K2/k3 mix is a great showcase of skill progression all in one day to newbies who will be attracted to try karting……..in other words try our best to keep it in one day……until my-Kart club have full time staff….if it ever come to that.
Round 3 will be a test of of mykart management and resources. If the situation warrants it, some of us might volunteer to suit up for races but may not drive….hehehe.

the increased numbers are directly CK’s customers. MY-kart is not generating any revenue from there. Other way looking at the situation, we are managing these customers for them for FOC.
2 options we can choose, increase hours or we set a limit to participants;
1. increase hours, my-kart managing CK customers FOC. 100% of their customers are secured and managed.
2. set limit of participants. Downside for example; we can set limit to 30 participants due to time frame up to 2pm, will the remainder of 20 particpants come back to CK and run for their own after the series on the same day? Yes possible, but my reckond that only 10 % of them will wait till my-kart series over and practice after 2pm.
CK will not garautee themselves the remainding hours after 2pm will get 20 cusotmers that run at least 3 rounds (that is 60 sessions)In addition, My-kart extra hours is not increasing on the number of laps per session, it is because increasing the number of participant; on the other hand, CK releasing exta hours is not because My-kart demanding for more laps per session is because we need more time to manage their customers for them. I see no reason why CK need to hike the price for extra time.
From the business perceptive, it will be feasible that CK allow us to go extra hours.

ParticipantI don’t know exactly what is the arrangement in place now with CK w.r.t. charges.
Is it based on:
1) strictly the number of karts rented?
2) number of hours?
3) combination of both?
I guess for CK, income per track hour is what matters to them.
Perfect case (for CK) would be running more K1s/K2s than K3s (simply due to higher rental charges) but the volume is in K3, so it’s a matter of finding the right balance.
If we can work out a deal that meets their $$$ criteria, it would not matter if the event run longer hours.
Just my 2 nasi lomak’s…
Easier said than done, I know, so I’ll stop here, thank you… :p1 March 2007 at 10:09 am #4216sabelt
Participantlower down k1 rental to rm300 and disband k2. But its only in my dream.

Participantlonger hours;
1. increase hours on the event day
2. split into 2 daysno longer hours;
1. limit number of participants
2. combine k2 and k1 , increase the number of laps for k2 and or otherwise———————————-

i think workable. 18 races means ~ 6hrs. turnaround and an early start is important.

ParticipantAs I mentioned to euss during our last race, I will bring 3 units of walkie-talkie tomorrow for easy communication..

Should not be a problem with the race programme.
But K1 needs to be weight & ballast as early as possible.
