    Hi Guys,

Since we already have Malaysian Idol, American Idol, etc etc, so I think it is the time we should have a MyKart Idol. How about that. We vote thru this website and at the end of the year we will know who will get most of the vote. If the person miss a race, so he/she is not eligible for a vote on for that particular month.
So, guys … what do you think ?

    Cheers.

Uh oh. I am not so sure about a myKART idol. *lol*

If this is the case then myKART’s own “Schumi” would win all the votes! *lol*

Can’t imagine a panel consisting Wai Leong or Raja Razman, Alex Yoong and Deanna Yusof saying “you are crap, your braking is all over the place, clearly you have no talent”…

Nah …. I don’t think so, Fazz. Everybody have chances to be MyKart Idol. Beside there are a lot of good drivers in our group such as Jules, Hafidz, Brian, Azlan, etc, etc and you …. Talking about judges, Wai Leong and Deanna is a good choice.

Lets ask others views. Guys, what do you think ?

Wai Leong can be the bad guy judge… *lol*

Anyway – I believe that if myKART were any sort of reality show… it would not be in any way like the “Idols”…. voting is not appropriate.

But if you film the whole myKART season (take interviews with drivers) and offer a big prize at the end, then you’d get some sort of reality TV. But hey… that’s something else. We should just concentrate on the racing…. 🙂

Actually reality TV is a good way of promoting anything. People like the prospect of personal rivalry and chemistry.

I guess this is also why F1 is so successful. It has over the past few years sold itself as a battle between a few fiercely competitive people. I think things really took off during the Mansell v Piquet days. Then there was the Senna v Prost, and then Senna v Mansell and Senna v Schumi, Schumi v Hill, Schumi v Villeneuve and Schumi v Hakkinen.

Now the interest is building up to see who can beat Schumi. And the general public is thirsty for any off track rivalries as well.

    Other sports are no different.
