    8 seconds?
half of the stops nowadays are less than that.. as 3 stoppers take less fuel, hence shorter time spend in the pitstop.

i think rubens and pitcrew did a 6.9 or less at monza last year…

    quite funny… *lol*

although a bit racist, I must say. of course there have been different versions flying thru the net… one that I saw was attributed to the London inner city kids.

Wow … under 6 seconds is quite respectable I’d say especially without proper equipment.

hmmm … I wonder if this report is accurate….

i think under 6 secs is do-able… super splash and go. i cant seem to find the database for pitstop times, f1-live.com used to have it… disappeared already i suppose.

its refuelling that takes up the bulk of the time, since filling rate is regulated to 12.1 litres/second , the tyre change can be done in less than 6 secs.

fazz.. probably the can of VB is chilled in the kangaroos pouch 🙂

But it is more incredible if it is done by some low tech inner city folks.

Yeah guys… can’t rily wait any longer to catch the 1st race at Melbourne. Life for the pass few months without F1 races rily hard. But lucky from this years onwards, there is A1 GP….

You are right. I think the Dubai prince got it right with the A1GP formula… race during the winter months, go to places F1 doesn’t go and race as national teams. Quite a good idea, but let’s see how they execute it… and hopefully, we get TV coverage… I wonder if they will race at Pasir Gudang or something?

pasir gudang? why? can race at sepang ; better track, better facilities, can hold more spectators.

i checked the website out… the red dot to show where malaysia is is wrong, its pointing at jakarta!!
and for australia, looks like they are racing at the famed Mt. panorama/bathurst… its a monster of a track.

Didn’t check the website, but why not. I had the impression that Bernie would not allow other single seater (except junior) category to race at F1 tracks, for fear of direct comparison.

But I guess A1GP is fairly junior… so no issue.
