Participant1/ what is the page on this site that you visit first?
> I have this(http://club.my-kart.org/newposts) as my bookmark, so I head straight to the New Posts and bypassing the main pages. I hardly search or go anywhere else, unless I’m searching for something.2/ what is the most common link that you’d click?
> As above(http://club.my-kart.org/newposts)3/ how much do you use the search box?
> Hardly4/ how do you find the menu systems – how helpful are they?
> Neutral about it.5/ is there a logical way to group the menu system?
> Im not fussy, though i like the menus to stay the same, so i wont have to figure out where they are in the new menus 🙂6/ how should i improve the layouts, design and content organisation?
> Again, not fussy…. Though, I would like it, when I click on “X new”, to head straight for the new posts. Currently this is only applicable for the 1st page, but once it goes into page 2 and above, it doesn’t works. I will need to scroll to the last page and then remember how many new posts and go backwards from there.Other option could be for the last post to appear 1st.
If possible, when the actual thread is Updated, it would be good, if whatever has been updated to be of different colour or somehow highlighted.
7/ what are the items (links, content) you can do without?
> Can’t really say, coz i dont use much of the rest, but dat doesn’t means that they are not useful.8/ what contents should be included?
> No comments.9/ any other general comments on the site design?
> Nope.9 October 2009 at 6:01 am #8818TheFazz
Memberthanks for the feedback ruben.
generally confirms my thoughts on the frequent links and the many menu items.
i aim to reduce the menu system items by at least 50%, since most are not so useful.

One more thing.. Can we have the page no. at the top so i can directly go to last page 😉
Hehe… or you just make all the post at reverse order the latest post at the top 🙂 very difficult lah to read all the post especially when i’m using my phone9 October 2009 at 8:06 am #8821sabelt

ParticipantI think simplifying this site is a brilliant idea. Sorry to say – I find it rather counter-intuitive. I think most people want to simply:
login > register for next round > logout
(& win, but that one’s not your problem-lah)
**Suggest:#Home page has one cool photo&logo, one line of text for “mission / slogan” and only 3 links:
“Sign Up (it’s free!)”
“More Info” (or cooler text for same meaning)#”Log In” links to page showing table of upcoming “Upcoming Race Events” (ONLY!)
#Table of “Upcoming Race Events” links to table of “Race Day”
(eg. DRIVERS’ SERIES RND10)
I realise it’s difficult to change but the way of cutting/pasting the text to make a really long list of posts for race registration is not very cool. Totally agree short term fix to have posts in reverse order; but better we have a single table of drop down menus (with far right column “Remark” as open text) to let users register for each race category. One “master” table at top of thread updates each time user inputs and history of old tables is NOT shown. Below forum style endless chit-chat (reverse order) is fine. All the other stuff is great but can be surfed from the menus.1/ what is the page on this site that you visit first?
> login then calendar2/ what is the most common link that you’d click?
> preview comment (to make sure i post it w/o typos! very easy to delete someone else’s name by mistake)3/ how much do you use the search box?
> never4/ how do you find the menu systems – how helpful are they?
> very hard to find what one is looking for5/ is there a logical way to group the menu system?
> i’m sure it is logical already, but not to new user6/ how should i improve the layouts, design and content organisation?
> see above comments**7/ what are the items (links, content) you can do without?
> suggest to keep all the content; but “out of the way” behind menu links8/ what contents should be included?
> i like previous suggestion to have championship standings link9/ any other general comments on the site design?
> i was looking around for a karting club exactly like mykart but even when finding your site i didn’t really understand what you offered. it needs to be much easier to find simple summary info for a “newbie” without sign-in.10 October 2009 at 4:58 am #8824TheFazz
Memberthanks for the feedback guys. keep ’em coming!

Memberi am guessing that there are about 5 common things site users care about:
1/ joining the club
2/ joining a race
3/ chit-chat (check out latest updates)
4/ find out a bit more about my-kart
5/ view championship results / standingsperhaps i can organise content as follows (key menus):
1/ join the club
2/ go racing
3/ discuss | interact
4/ about us
5/ standingsany other comments?

Participant1/ what is the page on this site that you visit first?
I bookmarked “New Stuff” and that’s how I access the forum.2/ what is the most common link that you’d click?
Whichever new topics in “New Stuff”. Would go through all of them.3/ how much do you use the search box?
Didn’t even know there was a search.4/ how do you find the menu systems – how helpful are they?
Not bad. But don’t quite like this forum system. Maybe because I’m so use to phpbb 2/3 basic theme.5/ is there a logical way to group the menu system?
6/ how should i improve the layouts, design and content organisation?
7/ what are the items (links, content) you can do without?
No specific suggestions or preference here. I’m ok with the current layout.8/ what contents should be included?
Porn? 😛8/ any other general comments on the site design?
Ability to search info of people (profile) to get basic idea who they are.
Ability to search previous posts of the user to gain historic information.16 October 2009 at 7:21 am #8876karter_stuart
Participant1/ what is the page on this site that you visit first? new Stuff
2/ what is the most common link that you’d click? Any of the new posts under new Stuff
3/ how much do you use the search box? Iv used it a few times for research.
4/ how do you find the menu systems – how helpful are they? Would preffer the menu to be at the left side. Easier to navigate
5/ is there a logical way to group the menu system? Not sure about this.
6/ how should i improve the layouts, design and content organisation? I think its ok.
7/ what are the items (links, content) you can do without? cant think of any.
8/ what contents should be included? i would prefer the use of a goggle calendar so i can automatically get all the events downloaded to my email, phone pc etc.
8/ any other general comments on the site design? the thing up the top right should be deleted “place to put first links”.16 October 2009 at 8:55 am #8878TheFazz
Memberstuart / stevo – thanks for the inputs. these are good feedback for my site improvement plans. except for some suggestion on site content. lol.
