Folks

what you liked, and we should do more of

    what needs to be improved

    what needs to be stopped

Please feedback in relation to –

    1. pricing
    2. my-kart’s event administration
    3. kart operator (citykarting / kartquest) performance
    4. event format
    5. any other matters
what you liked, and we should do more of

    Comradeship. TT once in awhile.

    what needs to be improved

    So far so good

    what needs to be stopped

    Punctuality. Some not very punctual.

  • pricing
  • Good. Cheaper than you play it individually and have no competition. No competition = No challenge = No FUN

  • my-kart’s event administration
  • Good

  • kart operator (citykarting / kartquest) performance
  • Citykarting – So far so good but need to improve on competition kart condition. Some very good, some downright lousy. This applies to K3 karts.

Kartquest – so far have not faced any problems with them (yet). Just a general feeling that the mechanics have “no urgency” attitude.

  • event format
  • Good. I like it.

Dude… spot on!
We need to get more youngsters to participate… this is critical to ensure continuity in my-KART’s ‘popularising grassroots racing’ concept.

Fazz,
You introduced the light/heavy sub-category… perhaps next step is age/gender sub-category?
This season we are seeing an increase in female entries,if you create a sub-category now we could see renewed enthusiasm from them (and possibly new interest from outside),as they will have their own little ‘championship’ to fight in!

definitely – the next step after the IC3 is the ISCU series – inter schools colleges and universities. But let’s get IC3 off the ground and running first.

Age should not be a factor. But as for gender – perhaps if we can get more women joining the races regularly. Tried that in our first season but the participation was inconsistent. Btw, what happened to Tg Sofnis?

perhaps we can get one team (or two) of college/university students to join the next IC3 to jump start the ISCU,and to generate interest amongst their fellow students…?

and remember ed, should be affordable for stus. Maybe we can have more drivers per team to split the cost? for stus lah, that is.

the format too has to be different. perhaps 1 hour enduro for 4 drivers on 80cc.

However, may I request that the response get back on topic in relation to my participant survey. Please feel free to create another thread for discussion on any proposed ISCU series.

If I may add :

Pricing ok
Time keeping….MUST improve – on karter’s side.

As no offence & reference to anyone – we must arrest the latecoming, the I pay – so u must treat me like king attitude, the lack of mechanical understanding and fair racecraft, the lack of respect to machine & fellow competitors and even kart operators ; to maintain MyKart’s image. We need everyone to make this happen.

i think the club must foster positive attributes amongst drivers & members & the above are just a selection of issues we can address.

suggestion for the event format – every driver esp. k3, must know their grid position before the pit lane opens to avoid confusion. For safety, overtaking during formation lap are strictly prohibited. I noticed there are few “near miss” during formation lap.

i agree with sabelt and would like to add my 2 sens. just like k2, the k3 drivers should be informed about their starting position. this will save time n trouble arranging the karts on the starting grid.
one way is to inform each driver who they line up behind, so at the formation lap, all they need to do is just to find that driver/kart he/she has to line up behind.

i would also like to mention something regarding drivers briefing. i noticed many k2 drivers will lepak at the laptop/food area when Fazz is giving his briefing. k2 are experienced drivers, no doubt about that. does that mean regular k3 drivers get to skip drivers briefing too?many k3 drivers are indeed regulars too. need some clarification on that. cheers.

I would like to place comment on the seriousness of KartQuest handling events. They should be more aware of the sensitivity and service level that they are providing to their clients. This would be gauged for future events and help boost their marketing.
They should also be more accommodating and positive in terms of complaints and customer feedback, not otherwise.

My-Kart has gone through various stages and had developed to a better establishment since. We have good structured and organized schedule and most importantly cooperative members than any other motor clubs that I have encountered. All of us are still practicing in becoming a good driver, Nevertheless, we are also eager to reach to a better level. There may be some unpleasant events which could have stirred some negative behavior in ourselves but hey, aren’t we all still practicing?.

this can be quickly implemented. no problems.

everybody needs to attend the briefing no matter if they already know what I have to say. however, frequently those that congregate at my notebook are usually volunteers helping me out with the administration… so they are exempt in order allow the event to move on.

I also take note of the participants punctuality. Yes, this is a problem which we need to address. I have usually been lenient here as we aim to build the community. That said the need to be stricter is important.

The way we’ve been operating is that who gets started up first gets out first, which leads to a lot of confusion regarding the K3 starting grid. Therefore, I propose we have a system where we make sure that the polesitter gets started up and out first, followed by everybody else in order and to keep it there till the start. And any tardiness gets penalised. comments?

noble idea but dun forget karts are normally parked all over the place and its hard to expect the starters to know your grid order as well.

best is do what K2 guys do, tell them where they r located and then they MUST sort it out themselves when approaching start line. Helpers can be there to help but ONLY when needed.

My suggestion.
