Monaco is more a test of drivers, i think it’s just fisi who’s the more dominant factor in the 4th place result. Canada will show if the Renault is as good as it’s drivers.

not sure about fisi. he was nowhere last year compared to alonso.

Memberwell done to hamilton for his first pole in his short f1 career. however, i just felt that alonso could have been on pole if not for the error (i missed it) at the last chicane. up to then he was posting fastest sector 1 and 2 times.
fantastic laps from Heidfeld to put BMW on 3rd! his qualifying run in Q2 was spectacular – brushing the “wall of champions” on his way to 3rd.
Massa does not seem to be on the pace this weekend, and instead Raikkonen is holding up the Ferrari challenge. Still, the Ferraris seem to be falling back from McLaren.
Well done to Webber and Rosberg… but let’s see how they hold up during the race. Special mention goes to Sato too. Amusing to see the customer Honda team doing better than the Factory Honda team…. Honda really messed up their 2007 challenger.
Ralf Schumacher’s poor form seems to spell the end of his F1 career… whilst Kovalainen is still struggling to get to grips with F1.

ParticipantSome updates on Kubica’s condition.. 🙂
London (espnstar.com) – Robert Kubica was released from hospital on Monday, less than 24 hours after his terrifying high speed accident in the Canadian Grand Prix.
The Polish driver was given the all clear to leave by the local doctors and remarkably drove himself away from the hospital in a BMW X5.
The team revealed that Kubica had sustained light concussion and a sprained right ankle but when he left the hospital at noon on Monday he was showing few signs of what he had been through.
“I have no pain and feel well,†he said in a statement. “I want to thank everyone for the medical attention I received and for all the good wishes.
“Mario Theissen and other team members came to visit me and also thanks to Jarno Trulli who came as well,†he revealed.
“I am happy that I have been able to leave the hospital so quickly and will now prepare for the race in Indianapolis.â€
BMW-Sauber revealed that Kubica underwent intensive CT-scans and other checks in the Hospital du Sacre Coeur in Montreal.
However, before being given the green light to race in Indianapolis Kubica will have to undergo further medical checks by the FIA Medical Delegate at the track on Thursday.
This is standard procedure following such accidents. According to the regulations the BMW Sauber F1 Team has to announce its driver line-up for the weekend by Thursday 16:00 hrs.
The accident on lap 27 of the race happened just after turn 9 when the 22-year old collided with the car of Jarno Trulli, and there was no technical failure on the car.By Theodore Liasi

Memberit is a great surprise that kubica survive the crash. it was one of the most horrific crashes I’ve seen in f1 for a long time. to see the car launching point blank into a wall and then the broken carcass bouncing off the wall and rolling over on the track and into another wall across the track with bits and pieces flying off in all directions was a sickening sight. many feared the worst when there was a lack of movement in the cockpit.
thanks to the many safety pushes over the years, it looks like kubica will still be racing.

30 june 2007ferrari seems to be on form whilst mclaren stumbles. alonso’s gearbox failure denied him any time in the final qualifying phase. hamilton continues his rookie terrorism. massa once again outqualifies kimi.
renault seems to have caught up, kubica is back but heidfeld had problems.
interesting enough, rain is forecasted for raceday. should be exciting!

ParticipantMcLaren designer to reveal all (Theodore Liasi-espnstar.com) :O
McLaren’s disgraced chief designer Mike Coughlan is to reveal how he came into the possession of the leaked Ferrari documents.
Coughlan, who has been suspended by the team, agreed to demands to provide an affidavit answering Ferrari’s queries and thus avoided further cross examination in the High Court on Wednesday.
However, Ferrari have insisted that the court action is still ongoing. In a statement the Maranello-based squad acknowledged that Coughlan had provided them with an affidavit “relating to relevant facts and Ferrari has agreed not to forward the affidavit to the Italian criminal authorities”.
It added that the agreement between the two parties concerned only the procedural aspects.
“The case brought by Ferrari in England against the Coughlans therefore continues in terms of what is decided by the High Court in London.”
Ferrari have accused Coughlan and his wife Trudy of stealing technical information which ran into a 780-page document and then photocopying them for reproduction.
Ferrari said they would not have known about the missing documents had an employee at the photocopying shop not alerted them.
That tip-off led to the sacking of Ferrari’s Nigel Stepney who is accused of passing the on to Coughlan, an allegation Stepney has denied.
