Looks like 2008 gonna be more interesting ey.. 😉
alonso leaving is no surprise after all the scandals and controversies this year. however, moving back to renault is…

renault has to improve significantly from this year’s performance in order to be a challenger. but i am kind of hoping that BMW will be up there challenging the big two significantly.

Williams could do with a fat load of cash, McLaren will have THE fat load of cash with Fonso leavin…. So, Rosberg is looking good. I hope he does, Williams has been up there since Senna’s death. So hopefully with more cash, Williams can do something to get back up there with the big boys and Rosberg be given a chance to show his true capabilities….

Will Schumacher return to Williams? If not, who’s in the vacant seat? Nelson Piquet Jnr? Since Renault will replace Fishi with Fonso and NP has said he’s going racing next year.

Massa was just excellent. He was like coming out of the shadow when everyone’s attention was on the top 3 drivers, Hamilton, Alonso and Kimi. He was super fast on every qualifying. But wonder if he is on a low fuel load and the Mclaren are on the heavier fuel load. It’s going to be a great battle but I still wants Hamilton to be the youngest rookie world champion. It’s history in the making guys~

yeah. massa has been very strong this year. however, many tend to overlook him partly because of the perceived strength & determination vis a viz raikonnen.

hamilton will create history in many ways if he clinches the title today…. however, i am going to go with alonso. i am getting a little wary of the media hype and adulation given on hamilton at the mo (which will surely launch into the stratosphere in the whole english speaking world if he wins the 2007 WDC).

what a result!

lewis hamilton continues a trend started by nigel mansell of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory when he initially slid off the track trying to overtake alonso… and then sufferred a gearbox glitch which dropped him 30secs down at the early part of the race.

out of nowhere kimi raikonnen pulls all the stops to win the brazilian gp in style and thereby clinching the 2007 WDC crown. well done kimi! well done ferrari… as it looked like the two red cars were a clear class of their own. felipe massa once again showed that he is a truly quick driver by leading much of the race.

fernando alonso did not factor much in the race although managed to get ahead of hamilton at the start of the race. quite clearly the mclarens were never going to be on the pace of the ferraris. so for alonso, the best he could do was 3rd and hoped that both massa won and hamilton finished lower than seventh…. which was a tall order anyway.

some drama at the end threatened to spoil kimi’s party but the result stands.

once again… well done to kimi raikonnen, massa and ferrari!

…..and Kubica passed Alonso to add salt to his wounds…ouch! Kubica’s final pit stop gave Alonso back his 3rd spot…luckily!

I would love Kubica to take 3rd place.. but their strategy just didn’t work out. And well done Kimi and Ferrari. I reckon Hamilton was a bit afraid that he will crash out on the 1st corner. He was too careful not crashing into someone in the 1st corner. I thought we were going to see another M.Schumacher 2006 run where he drop back to the pack due to tyre damage and basically flew to 4th place. That was an absolutely fantastic run. I can never forget that race..

looking at the points, lewis hamilton on 109 points only needed to make up 1 place to take the title…. if only he was schumacher that would have been possible 😀

I think if McLaren wins the cool fuel appeal the teams involved will be reduced a certain amount of points from their constructor’s championship but won’t be disqualified from the Brazil results.

The teams should be dropped their constructor points earned from Brazil but not the driver’s points because it’s not the driver’s fault.

hamilton only had the WDC to lose. all he needed was to finish 5th if raikonnen won, and stay one place behind alonso in any case.

yet, he was sucked into a first lap one-up-manship with bitter rival alonso and simply put himself out of contention. if only he had slotted right behind alonso at the start… but there you go.

like alonso, should mclaren win the appeal and hand the WDC to Hamilton – i would be mortified. hamilton lost the WDC on the first few corners. end of story.

true.. i totally agree with Fazz. Hami just lost his title on the 1st lap. Like I said earlier on, he was too careful at the start and also eager to be in front at the same time. He is not taking risk. He was only really showing his true form when he was back at 18th.

I’m just a lil confused with McLaren. Hami says the reason his car went neutral was that his fingers slipped onto the wrong button. But McLaren are denying it was the driver’s fault, but instead it was their car…… Why is that?

Based on the Spygate ruling, drivers and constructors are seperable, so, if McLaren should win their appeal, BMW & Williams should be relegated or disqualified in Brazil and McLaren to gain from it. But since McLaren are disqualified for 2007/8, then the teams which finished out of the top 8 would benefit 😀 Good on ya McLaren

LATEST NEWS!!
Formula One: Renault faces spying charge
:O

Saturday November 10, 2007
PARIS (AFP) – Formula One team Renault on Friday denied accusations of spying on their rivals McLaren.

Renault chiefs have been summoned to attend a hearing of the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Monaco on December 6 when they could be hit with heavy penalties.

The team have been accused of receiving information that included “the layout and critical dimensions of the McLaren F1 car”, according to the sport’s governing body.

McLaren were fined 47.5 million pound and kicked out of the constructors’ championship after being found guilty on a similar charge in September.

But the French team have denied confidential data brought to the team by a former McLaren engineer was used in their 2007 F1 car.

“None of this information was used to influence design decisions,” said Renault in a statement.

Renault, who won the drivers’ and constructors’ titles in 2005 and 2006, insist they have nothing to hide and revealed that engineer Phil Mackereth was suspended on September 6.

They admitted the information was brought to the team by Mackereth, who loaded it onto their F1 file system “without the knowledge of anyone in authority in the team.”

Renault said they immediately informed McLaren of the situation and then notified the FIA.

“The information was completely cleansed from the team’s computer systems and a formal investigation was started.

“Since then we have constantly and regularly kept McLaren and the FIA informed on all relevant findings.

“The original floppy discs were impounded and sent to our solicitors for return to McLaren.”

The statement added: “(We) have co-operated fully with McLaren and the FIA in this matter to the extent that the team has invited McLaren’s independent experts to come and assess the team’s computer systems and inspect the cars and the design records, to demonstrate that this unfortunate incident has not in any way influenced the design of the cars.”

They added that they were “fully confident in the judgment of the World Council.”

Renault finished third in the constructors’ championship behind Ferrari and BMW Sauber this season.

😕 hmmm…. the 2007 season ends last month right??
