[/quote]Depending on whether you want to buy new or secondhand karts. At Citykarting, check with uncle Ng for the prices.
For new karts, price varies depending on the brand of chassis, engine type + other accessories.
Price ranges from RM10,000 to RM20,000.For secondhand karts, depending on kart condition and type of engine, it could range from RM5,000 to RM9,000.
Uncle Ng allows 3 easy payment to those he know (but you can discuss with him first) and he provides a buy back gurantee.
Check with uncle Ng too regarding cadet karts for children below 12 years old.Mofaz did sell Puffo karts (for kids around 5 years of age) but I believe they don’t sell it anymore.
CK do rent out their cadet kart for age 7 and above.

ParticipantNoticed that CK was issuing discount cards yesterday when I was there.
For 80cc, pay RM150/- upfront and you get to drive 5 – 10 minutes drives. (saving of RM5/- per drive)

Participant3 years old is too young and there’s no kart that will fit plus in addition I do not think they comprehend what their eager parents wants of them, or even understand fully how to control a kart with responsibility.
Puffo’s are for 5 years old, I believe and they are one or two lying around in the workshop – all belonging to private owners.
All is not lost – put them in the 2 seater, drive them around and see if they like it. You may be surprise they don’t.
Otherwise, start them on PS2 or PC car simulation games….
Nohad….discount cards came and went and this started 5 years ago…..

Memberazzura68 – why don’t you try karting yourself first? useful to get a feel and understanding before getting your kid in one. and do try out the yellow two seater with your son.

My son will be 3 later this year and I too thought of introducing him to go-karts soon. Being a speed freak myself, naturaly I thought he’d have the same thirst for speed like his old man.
Couple of weeks ago I got a chance to ride a motorbike again (after a long hiatus) and took the opportunity to bring him along on the joyride. When we got back the missus noticed the poor kid was sweating and shivering… guess I was going a bit too fast… and scraping the footpegs didn’t exactly help either… 🙁
I guess I’d have to do it slowly next time around…

anyway, you’re right Jules… it was not a smart thing to do at all, although he was wearing his bike helmet.
my wife did wonder which one is really the kid… 🙁
cheers!
