Done. See everyone there….. Seems like a very big group(based on memory, ~50 in both K2 & K3 – do they have THAT many karts?).I’ll be going to learn from everyone…. Yusnee(sorry, I dont know his mykart nick) has been inviting me so many times, but due to other commitments I’ve never been able to join in till now. Please offer your advice/tips on improving.
I average around 1:14-1:15. I need to cut it down to 1:10-1:11. What’s the norm for 80cc?

trust me… I don’t want to be doing very late braking!! Naza’a tag line is “it’s all about discipline”. Karting requires huge amounts of discipline and my late braking is caused by lack of discipline!! 😛
You need to focus on good racing lines and smooth driving.

Dude,
There is no secret, as evident from the many competent karters out there able to do that range of laptimes. Simply do this:
1) Get any my-kart Jedi to go with you on the 2 seater yellow kart to learn the lines. (who is the Jedi?….check the previous Race series results laaa!)
2) Than, get the Jedi (or a female Jedi…if you like!) to lead and you follow and vice versa….he/she and you will have plenty to talk about at the end of each session.
3) Than practice,…practice,….practice…practice…until your Jedi clocked you doing 1:14 – 1:15 in my-kart K3 race series. At this point, its perfectly normal, if he / she become becomes quieter and you know you have arrived….!
4) Finally, join the chicken wing runs…….got it?

Dude,
I am no Jedi but we at my-kart have a mission to provide an environment of friendly and affordable competition. You dont have to ask (or jangan malu to ask), just be with us whenever you can and the my-kart Jedi(s) will be at hand to guide and help FOC. 🙂 😎11 August 2007 at 11:48 am #5315edwynlow
