Participantmostly it’s the lead driver’s judgement and the starters. once they’re satisfied that all of us are more orless in line, the wave the green and we punch it.

ParticipantOIC….. Just to clarify – no overtaking allowed till you pass the start/finish line or when green flag is waved? Brake testing allowed on the rolling start?
Is there any place where I can go and read about the dos and donts or the ‘understanding’ of clean racing by my-kart?

Participant
2ndly, can someone pls explain the (understood) dos and donts? Next time, I’m gonna give more space and also do my best to avoid actual wheel banging. I think my life/health’s worth more than my ego 😉
Btw, how will CK add these weight ballast on their karts & do they have the necessary tools for that?

Dear Scary One,Go here http://club.my-kart.org/node/382 for the K2 & K3 event rules, regulations, etc.
To quickly answer some of yr questions, we are using rental karts and will not add ballasts for the K2/K3 series. This is not practical given the format that we run and limited time we have. However, you will be assigned to a “Weight category”, in your case you’d be K45 (ie between 45kg and 69kg), and you will score points in K45 category (male). Once you break 70kg, you will graduate and join me and all the other big buggers in the K70 weight category..heheh.. 😉
There will be a comprehensive briefing by Fazz that includes Safety rules just after registration. Hence, please come early by 7.30am to ensure everyone’s registered in time (and that includes all the old timers too…no exceptions this time..8.00am last call…if you’re not there…..friend,brother, sister or not…tough luck.. I will switch off my handphone too to avoid the “late callers!”…!!) 😕

Thats what happened when wheels come in contact. Believe me my-karters have over the years seen wheel contacts with serious consequences. Therefore, please DISCIPLINE yourself to avoid wheel to wheel contact at all cost[b]. Wheel to wheel racing is great fun but its done with a lot of trust and full readiness to avoid contact….especially when my-karters are your friends (some has regarded it a brotherhood bond over the years).
looking at that video.. was there any way of saving it so that it dont flip…? many just ending having a spin..

Participantlooking at the safety reasons.. if a person is racing in an uncomplete attire, this smells danger isnt it? so should he/she who does not have a suit, like me, be wearing long sleeves and long pants be more appropriate, of course with the helmet and etc..? because i too fear that accidents may happen.. as everyone is always trying to overtake the others at the next corner

Not too sure(coz can’t really see properly from the video), but when my back got lifted up, i turned my wheels to the wheels that were still on the ground. Anyhow, I thank God, nothing happened 😀 Shoke hands with the other driver too 😀About attire, that’s why now I shall at least race with long sleeves and jeans. Can never be too safe 😉

Friend,
Be it F1, MotoGP, motorbikes, cars, becha, bicycles or anything that move for that matter including karting, it can be dangerous. In my-kart, we promote racing with Safety as No. 1 consideration always. Therefore, dont be surprise if you see almost everybody in rd 8 fully attired from top to toe in protective racing gear (some may look like models?…why not!)…they say kalah tak apa, style mesti ada…so be it.Right, at least wear long pants (jeans are good) and long sleeve top (the thicker the better).

ParticipantNaza – From just watching videos and even F1 races on the TV, when most the wheels touched, the cars then to bounce off or goes off the ground. Why is that? Both car’s tyre are turning in the same direction, but still..

Actually one tyre is pushing down(front part of the tyre rotation) & the other’s pushing up(back part of the tyre rotation), so that’s why it’s automatic lauching. Hope that clears it up. 😉 If not, ask me again when we meet, easier to show with hand movements 😀
