Aiiyaah! what happened ….hope its not too serious.6 February 2007 at 7:20 am #3982luen
Participanti think something we can do at the flagging system;
Propose : say 8 laps after k2 , control flags chequeur flag together with yellow flag; while k1 will have 4 laps remainding on the track till 12 ends with a chequer flag.
P/s please do not put K1 at halt again 🙁

neat, balance and practical
Not a good idea. The best is still start and finish together. Later havoc when k2 class slowin down while k1 category still racing hence would slow them down..

neat, balance and practical
Yes, the flagging system should work but must be sure that the drivers clearly understand it.

Participantnew briefing on this should be included before the race. K2 Drivers somewhat experience would know what to do when sees chequer and yellow flags.
Not so worry about the slowing down K2 karts as on the normal training day on 125cc, we seeing more spun outs in the middle of the track and slow 80cc running together hahaha

ParticipantI’m not too sure it’s as easy as it sounds.
It’s quite rare everyone finishes the race on the same lap, so it’s a hassle to keep track of whom are finishing, whom are a lap down, and all this over 2 classes (K1 & K2).
Unless there are 2 lapchart takers, one for each class.
Even then we need to consider all aspects carefully, especially over safety issues.
Just my 2 nasi lomak’s worth.
Cheers!6 February 2007 at 12:31 pm #3987TheFazz
Memberi do not agree to multiple chequered flags on safety concerns & complexity.
let’s explore increasing K2 lap numbers instead.
also jules’ point about proper notification & confirmation due to kart arrangements etc needs to be considered.

Im sure the kart operator wouldnt be too happy for us to increase the number of lap on their 100cc karts. 10 laps each for k2 & k1 would be great too. Lets make it happen!

Yup, agree. Its going to be risky when some are slowing down while some are going at break neck speed.6 February 2007 at 4:37 pm #3990luen

ParticipantFolks,
Young Ikhwan, son of Yazid has recently been practicing on his Swiss Hutless / 125 Junior Max kart . He is currently in the k3 series but has been on the 100 cc endurance and rental karts before.
Question : Do we allow him to participate in the forthcoming k1 race? This request is anticipated.
