Folks,
Ikhwan is 15 years old and is driving Swiss Hutless / Rotax Junior 125 kart. The junior max engine has less power (15 kW @ 8500 rpm, Torque – 17Nm) but the lower drivers’ weight will make up the slack against the Senior max power (21 kW @ 11500 rpm, Torque – 21 Nm). In this regard, and in addition to Jules suggestion above, I am suggesting that we also adopt the 2006 Max Challenge weight minimum for Juniors :Weight:
Minimum of 145 kg including driver at all times.Ok or not?

agree to have minimum weights. but how does this reconcile with the minimum 160kg weight for seniors? setting the minimum weight is the tricky part. we want parity as far as possible. although it may be moot as winners’ ballast is added.
thoughts?

Participant
If the number of k1 karters is less than 6, than run it together with one of the k2 groups, however, the number of laps for k2 is only eight which I felt is too low for the k1 group. It was 10 laps for the heats and 12 laps for the finals of k1 group. The other option is to run the k1 race separately and cancel it if the number of karters is less than 6.
Any ideas?
From my personal point of view, if we have more than 8 K1 participants, we shall run the event separately from K2.
Need to nego with CK for a little more time to run my-KART event.

I see Ikhwan as a sole Junior max 125 entrant just running within a Senior 125 race. However his final position is of no significance to the seniors and he does not earn any points….perhaps just the glory and experience gained until there are more Junior entries to justify a separate race. If he wishes to earn the points, than the 160 kg minimum weight must be complied with plus change the engine to senior max…..in my view.25 February 2007 at 4:07 am #4167naza

I am agreeable to all the above. I only thought that the RM100 race fee is only to my-KART members? non-members based on normal walk in rates?

AP agreed to have the fee at RM100/- for those having karts at CK and non-CK customers.
RM100 will cover the track fee, fuel & mechanic service during the race for CK customers.
For those non-CK customers, RM100 will cover the track fee, fuel + mechanic service for starting & chain lube only.

ParticipantRM100 is CK to My-KART for the K1 series, since MY-KART is the event organiser, we do have the right to name the price to non-members. Agree?

I propose ran heat 1 at 12 laps, reason that it will cold start, hard compound may need a little more time to set-in and so are the drivers.
for your Question 1 is my suggestion as my reply to Nohad, how about that? charging RM120
