1. i am ok with maintaining “market price” to participants at RM240 per team per hour. but do benchmark with the A1TM, MAAU event and other similar events. A1TM event was RM300 per team (but includes additional time for practice etc)… see http://club.my-kart.org/node/1552
2. price at RM160 per driver may be too high… given our experience with the TEAMS enduro series. ~ RM100-RM120 per driver sounds alright…
3. 2 hour enduro sounds daunting for the non-hard cores… what if we position it as 30-45 minutes practice & qualifying and the rest are enduro?

-RM500 per team over 4 drivers (RM125 each driver)
-RM10 rebate to club member
-20 minutes non-stop qualifying, compulsary for all 4 drivers. Take average time for grid position.
-100 minutes enduro, unlimitted pit attempt.
-Max drive time per driver no more than 30 minutes and no less then 25 minutes.please comment

sounds ok. although the RM500 per team works to about RM250 per kart per hour… which is significantly lower than the A1TM and MAAU events i believe. are we ok with this?

Wan Shin for some reason mentioned to keep it at RM240 so as not to so call “spoil the market”. I reckon the higher cost for MAAU and A1TM could include other things like some refreshments or prizes for instance?

The MAAC they charged RM80/driver = RM320/team…. i did saw few boxes of ‘mineral water’ for the participants & packed noodles and for the prizes they gave medals for the top 3 teams + a bottle of ‘sparkling wine’. The team with the fastest lap time also received a medal… err i believe that all :shy:

this is what i am saying. the market value for a 1 hour enduro (plus practice) is around RM300 per team (or around RM100 per driver). we would like to be able to give out goodies etc. so if we can do this then it’ll be great.
oppss… besides medals there were two trophies, if I’m not mistaken Their Championship Trophy and the other one i can’t recall.. ;(
Sure, we will do the same……trophies and medals plus some sandwichwes and water….afterall this is the Grand Finale! We will wait for Luen to propose some more details on this subject including race format and rules.
Dare I say this,…….Luen and I are seriously thinking about a my-kart Iron Man Race to be slotted in November 2007, since there are no races in that month before the Dec 1st Grand Finale. It will be a 2 driver team running the 80cc kart for 2 hours! ( sorry, we dont think the 4 driver, 2 hour race is challenging enough for the hard core my-karters…hehehe…jangan marah ye). Of course, we are not expecting 20 teams for this….but than there are not too many hard – core karters around,…..I stand corrected!
how about 30 minutes qualifying + 120 minutes race charging RM600 / 4 = 150 per driver?
or
RM600 120 minutes per team plus food catering and throphies
or
what will be the ideal charging price, please comment.
Had dinner with Naza just now, were discussing about Ironman challenge of 120 minutes 2 drivers per team. This will be different series of endurance race series.

20 minutes qualifying + 100 minutes endurance.
Throphies and light food provided.But then again, if RM600 for 2 hours per race, the ironman challenge is going to be pricy though.
please together we set a right price. I will prepare race format and technical admin format later once we have agreed upon the price.
I was thinking of a “Ramadhan Special” race…buka puasa, and then 1 hour Enduro between 8.30-9.30pm….can or not??
