ParticipantAny experts could explain more details on 270cc 4 stroke kart?
18 April 2006 at 7:56 am #2751siewweng
Participantcould be the same karts as in Sunway extreme park many years back. i think engine pumps out about 9bhp, revs to about 4000rpm , torque around 20Nm with governor. :p got all this from google.
if its the sunway karts, then expect it to be heavy, both steering and weight.
ok , will check their site tomorrow.

Participantok here is the rules & regulation / entry form:
http://www.upload2.net/download2/hi74Zpd4F0ezztS/2006+A1+Driver+Search+Regulations.13Apr06.doc.html24 April 2006 at 3:01 pm #2753siewweng
Participantafter reading the R&R doc from Fazz, i have some questions. How many laps/heats are u entitled to per qualifying round?
8 heats.. 8 laps.. does it mean 2 heats per 1 qualifying round, 2 x 4 rounds = 8.
and 8 laps per heat…???but its mentioned that those that dont qualify for grand final are only entitled to 2 heats out of 4. confusing.
should just write it in simple english like in mykart. rather than that table that confuses u even more.
rm150 for 4 stroke kart is totally expensive. can spend almost 30 mins on a 100cc already.. wtf..

ParticipantIt’s a con! Damn publicity stunt for Pan Global lah. They could have given Roduawan the chance to try for A1.. why must hold another competition for the 3rd year now?
Sorry guys..hehehe me just being sour grapes lah bcs the rules and regulation stats that for past participants ( I came in 3rd ), they can only enter provided they have Pan Global insurance policy.

Did u know that the Pan Global Karts are also being used by Shell IT International for their regular karting sessions? And yes, they are the same ones from Sunway.
So u want some tips on which karts to choose? Hahahaha. If not mistaken, kart no.4 was the most powerful wan. Not sure if they have switched the numbers or not?

Geez, was their customer until end of last year.
Went to renew the policy the day before Deeparaya but their customer service was closed and I’m forced to purchase AM Insurance.
So now how to participate?

if i read correctly, the prize is actually a weekend with the A1 team at the malaysian A1GP and a shot in the formula msia, the hayabusa powered single seater.
think i will skip this competition, mahal gila.25 April 2006 at 1:13 am #2758Iskandar Zulkarnain
ParticipantHear-hear and hi guys. a shot means definite shot or a maybe shot? cos if u get to race in hayabusa, then berbaloi lar…provided you win. In any case, i don’t think i’ve been to enough my-kart meetings to count as a serious contender. Expect me to race in the closing months lar…my baby (black juara) kena accident, kena bayar lalu hidung siut! dahlah part mahal gila…
