ParticipantIn my personal point of view, turn 1 shall be at turn 10 as stated in your sketch to avoid confusion.
The turn numbers on the sketch is basing on the old start/finish which is. on the straight after coming out of the pit.

Memberpositioning of the flag points should be before the braking point and not directly ahead of the braking points. the flag points will need to be able to warn other drivers of the potential hazards ahead of them in the braking zone.

I got this picture from the Internet and didn’t bother changing the numbers for the turn 😛 because I think the positioning of the flags is more important

ParticipantThe problem is who wants to volunteer this job? Even doing lap charts also malas2 and some of us prefer to chill under the shades. LOL. Semua nak posing like top gun and DTM drivers.

ParticipantALthough there are 5 areas for flags, it may be possible to reduce the number of flag wavers to 3, ie one person for T2 & T5, one for T10 & T12, and one for T8. Those handling 2 corners have to be vigilant and run a bit lorr..

ParticipantI agreed with Sabelt, But that is not entirely not workable la haha….
Fag post should be located on the straight line ahead and entry of total blind spots multiple chicane/ hairpin
My suggestion post located at;
1. outter turn 2, this position can monitor Turn 2,3,4
2. outter turn 5, this position can monitor turn 5,6,7
3. between turn 7 and 8, this position monitor turn 8 and 9
4. out turn 10, this position monitor turn 10, 11,and 1218 September 2007 at 11:56 am #5739edwynlow
Participantah.. let me explain a bit on the picture.
well you can see two colour circles.. red and yellow (basically its the flags). and there is the line that connects the circle and the blue colour track. this is basically the person in charge of the flags who will be watching that particular area of the track (which is the blue colour track)

I don’t mind running around with the flags, it may be tiring but at least my fellow karters are in a safer race

Participantbro,
thanks for effort but ur flag locations wrong…..esp if u come with 100cc speeds.
flags should be at END of straights BEFORE the set of corners you want covered. U gotta think of the tyre barriers which at times block a clear view of next set of bends when u plan this. Line of sight sitting on a kart…..not standing ok?
Good effort and yes, getting ppl to do this will be the biggest hurdle. All others ( location can kautim ). One flag enough….or even no need flag – just a guy to show PRE-AGREED hand signals will do!
Have fun.
