Participant
ahhhh good news indeed 😀 :D
Not good news if they say…”You must only use this CIPALAK tyre and only I can sell it to you for RM2000 a piece..”
Such uncertainties, even 1.5 months before the race SCREWS up drivers, sponsors cos no one know what’s the cost to race, cost to sponsor and if at all can sponsor! ( say other tyre brands sponsors….)
COME ON – MALAYSIA CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS!

Participant😉 jules,
Totally agree with u. I just wish that they can finalise like what they did in year 2007 whereby silverstone came in and was selling their slicks at rm 200 per piece. That makes it affordable and its easier for us to come out a budget for team sponsors and etc.Mark,
Most probaly me and luen will be racing with the same team last year. But we are not sure because of cost and budgetting constraints. Becsuse organisers has not made up their mind on tyre makes. Thus we dont know d costs. n we are also looking for sponsors. We will draft one proposal and resume for televas as first priority :p17 April 2009 at 12:03 pm #8379luen
ParticipantGood news, there will be 1 standard tyres to use to leverage fair-play. If Chiplak tyres there will be chiplak and struggle, it will be to all.
Agree that if once standard to unreasonable price for chiplak tyre, all would have to bare the costs. 🙁
Ramsey,
earlier January SR stated tyres are open latest update February only ammended as above.Mark,
Yes driving spirit never dies only if money goes dry. Both Desmond and I looking hard for supply. Good Ryhme?? 😀17 April 2009 at 12:06 pm #8380luen
Participanthowever, I would reckond it will be Silverstone because it is still official sponsor for MSS. @ $450 a piece.
