“code c” button: you should use this if you want to type in monospace fonts. eg.

[code]this is a monospace paragraph…. [/code]

“close all open tags”: if you have multiple tags open, then the close all tags allows you to do just that.

as for the smileys…. i will try to do this. but i am missing the smileys package for phpBB.
