Updating the public holidays

Fazz, assuming 6 rounds of Enduro again, I see that these dates are clear:

Mega Enduro Rounds:

#1 – 27th Jan, 2007
#2 – 24th March, 2007
#3 – 19th May, 2007
#4 – 21 July, 2007
#5 – 8 Sept, 2007
#6 – 4 Nov, 2007

What do you think?

Mega Enduro proposed dates:

#1 – 27th Jan, 2007 (too close to KART round 2 – one week)
#2 – 24th March, 2007 (too close to F1 ~ need money ~ – one week, perhaps 17 Mar is better?)
#3 – 19th May, 2007 – ok
#4 – 21 July, 2007 – ok
#5 – 8 Sept, 2007 (too close to KART round 9 – one week, prefer 18 August)
#6 – 4 Nov, 2007 (too close to KART round 10 – one week, prefer 10 Nov)

#1 – 27th Jan, 2007 (too close to KART round 2 – one week) [color=red](saa73 says…may have to cancel this round then…start in March..too many Saturdays taken up by holidays, Awal Muharram/CNY, etc..until March)[/color]

#2 – 24th March, 2007 (too close to F1 ~ need money ~ – one week, perhaps 17 Mar is better?) [color=red](saa73 says…this is 2 weeks before F1 laa..F1 is April 6-8)[/color]

#3 – 19th May, 2007 – ok
#4 – 21 July, 2007 – ok
#5 – 8 Sept, 2007 (too close to KART round 9 – one week, prefer 18 August) [color=red](saa73 says…Aug 18 is beginning of school hols….u folks with kids may not want to join in…affects you Fazz, more than me! heh heh..)[/color]

ok noted. but why don’t we run on awal muharam? looking at the calendar, we seem to have a number of public holidays on or near the weekend anyway. and for enduro it is less critical for a driver to miss a race as you can always get replacement drivers.

again, i think it is ok to run the enduros on long weekends / public / school holiday weekends as we should still be able to find sufficient replacement drivers. It is only for the normal KART series that i would avoid clashing with holidays.

If rd10 move to 3 Nov 07 and enduro rd6 on 17 Nov 07, it could be a win-win situation for me as it falls directly in my home leave break period.
