ParticipantBro Fazz,
Actually at the open environment the portable system is not suitable bro, the sound come out like we put our ‘canggih’ home system out at the open space with a lot of noise… you can’t even hear it clearly… don’t worry bro, it will not trouble me if to bring small setup system, it just a small type Amplifier (u can attached your notebook & support 2 mic) and a pair of medium size speakers which can easily occupied half of my back “sagaburuk’ bonet but the problem is kalau I tak dapat attend the race… may be u can buy a “Hailer” for backup.

ParticipantHi Fazz,
I think the best is ask citykarting to sponsor a loud hailer for MyKart….I think shouldn’t be a problem to them for this item or else Mykart member top up some money to get one!17 February 2005 at 10:43 am #1638TheFazz

Thanks for the support here. Don’t worry, it is not mandatory if it is inconvenient for you. btw, you doing any event support work with your PA set?

It would be good to have a PA system for our next few rounds, but not that critical. But would be good to have this once we start getting sponsors in.

ParticipantFazz,
I definitely think we need a hailer,pronto.
I remember during the last round you got some of the guys (Irwan,Tom) to help you out on K3.
Poor guys were running all over the place to get the K3 finalists to choose their karts.
It was easier to manage the crowd at the previous pit location, but the new location is a bit of a challenge to get one’s attention.
I’m sure you can convince City Karting to provide a hailer, else let us know,we’ll chip in,no prob.
Especially when the next enduro comes along,we’ll definitely need them hailers!
Just my 2 sen’s worth.22 February 2005 at 6:53 am #1683naza
ParticipantBuy the hailer now. My kart members can afford it . Recover the cost by increasing the kart rental fee to be collected on race day. Just a suggestion lah…can ah?

Membergood suggestion guys. I will do so, and recover the costs over the next few rounds.
Before that, will talk to Citykarting to provide a few things for us… eg. PA system / hailer, large whiteboard for scoresheets etc.

Participant…and a printer!
would be good if we can hv printouts of the many, many wonderful spreadsheets that Fazz has in his laptop.
race-by-race results could be printed out,and pasted on the whiteboard for all to see.
but a printer is a bit pricey, wonder if any of my-KARTers out there with powerful connections can ‘spare’ a unit…? ostensibly to be provided ‘on-loan’ or as a ‘demo unit’…?23 February 2005 at 3:18 am #1695azmee2104
ParticipantGreat ideas all of u…
Getting a hailer is good, but must remember that it works with “batteries” our event is getting longer and longer time so make sure u have spare if you buy one Fazz!.. kalau tak salah I bateri dia cepat habis but can always be recharge. You will have a lot of choices at “Jalan Pasar” but if u are looking for a branded one then don’t go there la ok…
