Which curb at Shah Alam can I use? About Sepang racing lines, can you also answer?

Note: Anyone who has posted to me , please wait for my reply in about 4-6 days. I am a social internet surfer who surf once or twice per week. Anyway, I will certainly reply to those concerned. Thank you for your patience.

I just know what is latest braking point and turning point for sake of reference. Of course, I will not force myself to use the points.

At Sepang track, can anyone tell me to tackle turn 4 and 5? After the apex at Turn 4, will you stick to outside of turn 5 and make late turn at Turn 5? Or you go straight towards the apex of Turn 5, making a early turn? Besides Turn 4 and 5, is there anymore tricky corners? It seems that other corners are staright-forward. Anymore I should know? Can anyone help me?

Please correct me if I am wrong. In 80cc coporate kart, the fastest time is 1m 20s. For 100cc and 125cc, it should be 10 to 20 seconds faster.

So, I don’t need to spend on go-kart courses to improve my skills? Just my-kart races? Which track provides the best go-kart courses? MORAC, Citykarting, Kartquest or other track?

I have one question to ask, especially for those regulars at my-kart endurance race. What is the corner line at Sepang kart track? What I mean is braking point, turn-in point, apex point and cover out point. Is any reference points like marshal post for these ABC points? Yes, I understand you all can’t afford to release your tips for fear of losing your winning edge. I hope you can at least show some tips that all experts have already known, but beginners like me don’t know. Thanks.

Not using brake? Do you mean at certain corners, you lift off the throttle a bit and let the kart slide around? Doesn’t sliding make you slower and you should drive kart around corners without sliding?

Hi, there, Rawfresh. We used to discuss karting stuff at forum.ipoh.com.my/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=48. I am glad to see you at my-Kart. So, there is a great chance to see you racing in my-Kart, am I right?

Any my-kart member, please correct me if I am wrong? Ng Wai Leong was a great karter at his time. He was Formula Asia Champion and he is now the owner of Citykarting track at Shah Alam. So, Rawfresh, I hope that answer your question.

Try kerb on own kart? I will need money to buy one. 3000 laps? Money also? Loh… What to do? Jules, I know if you spread all your secret around, you will lose your edge. Okay, let keep that as your secret.

Thanks for the tips. I got of taking the kerb during K3 Group B Final at my-Kart Round 7. There is a guy wearing a white T-shirt and red vest (sorry I don’t know his name) overtook me going me going to esses. And, he took the second kerb of the esses to stay ahead of me. So, I was thinking maybe I can do the same like him. Well, maybe I will just follow your all advice not to take the kerbs.

But it should not affect the corperate karts, the ones used by my-Kart, am I right? The corperate karts should be have quite consistent performance. But anyway, how to convince the mechanics to tell you the better karts because I don’t have special relationship with them?

Okay, may I know which kerbs in the Citykarting track can be taken? It seems that the kerbs are quite high. I once took a kerb at esses and the kart unstables for a few seconds. Is it okay? How should I take the kerbs in the proper way?

Thanks for the tips. Yeah, it is surpising to see they can hit the brake so hard yet for a very short time, and they take the corner perhaps with a little drifting, but without spinning. If I hit the brake too shoft and too hard, I would have spinned. Guess that I have a lot to catch up.

Okay, thanks to all. Besides the corners Nohad mentioned that require heavy braking, the rest I will try to take with as minimum brake as possilble.

No lift at all? No wonder that I was so slow at the qualifying round. Guess that I want to a bit more brave next time. For example, at Citykarting track, which corner do not require lift off of throttle?

Maybe about braking point, since their chassis is the same and the braking power is also same, right? So, the braking point should be slightly earlier. Am I right?

Okay, back to real world. I was saying that we are racers and racers race car. I just feel f1 grid girls are relunctant. After all, we see F1 because we want to see cars running at high speed. If you want to see woman, go somewhere else. No hard feeling, okay, OSFlanker. It is just my personal opinion.
