“We will have an F1-style start with 20 karts from the grid!!”

I am not sure if this is the best start. Karting used to be rolling start. And it has it’s point. Kart cannot be idle for too long..

looking at the points, lewis hamilton on 109 points only needed to make up 1 place to take the title…. if only he was schumacher that would have been possible 😀
hamilton only had the WDC to lose. all he needed was to finish 5th if raikonnen won, and stay one place behind alonso in any case.

yet, he was sucked into a first lap one-up-manship with bitter rival alonso and simply put himself out of contention. if only he had slotted right behind alonso at the start… but there you go.

like alonso, should mclaren win the appeal and hand the WDC to Hamilton – i would be mortified. hamilton lost the WDC on the first few corners. end of story.
true.. i totally agree with Fazz. Hami just lost his title on the 1st lap. Like I said earlier on, he was too careful at the start and also eager to be in front at the same time. He is not taking risk. He was only really showing his true form when he was back at 18th.
nah kimi breaking cars is bollocks… he had engines exploding that hadn’t even done 1 fast lap. F1 cars are supposed to be built to last a race distance driven at 100%. Rear wings flying off and steering wheels coming off aren’t the result of a driver pushing too hard. The Mclaren was breaking when Mika was driving it, it was breaking when Coulthard was driving it… Kimi didn’t make the car suddenly fall apart.
well, from what the commentator said about Kimi, is that he is an old fashion driver. His job is to basically drive the fastest of what machine he is given and be faster than everyone on the track. which i reckon, this is a true racer. just like the mykarters, pushing themselves to the maximum limit of a dodgy kart..
…..and Kubica passed Alonso to add salt to his wounds…ouch! Kubica’s final pit stop gave Alonso back his 3rd spot…luckily!
I would love Kubica to take 3rd place.. but their strategy just didn’t work out. And well done Kimi and Ferrari. I reckon Hamilton was a bit afraid that he will crash out on the 1st corner. He was too careful not crashing into someone in the 1st corner. I thought we were going to see another M.Schumacher 2006 run where he drop back to the pack due to tyre damage and basically flew to 4th place. That was an absolutely fantastic run. I can never forget that race..
