Participantalvin,
after such a long silence – good to see you r alive but alas unchanged in your thinking…
yes, you can ask question – all you want but somethings require you to get off your bump and do something while asking the questions. When you kart and also still ask questions – ppl will take you more seriously and tell you more and you will also understand it better. asking from behind a pc on a sport gets you only so far.
1) on ur dad, yes – take his advice and study cos karting is not for you. Do it once you get a profession, earn your own money, you will enjoy it more.
2) on ur worry you get rob while travelling to KL…..I can only think many of us travel abroad alone to pursue a education, living and surviving on our own. yeah, lucky i came home safe….just like many of us too. hopefully you too.
3) you only know how hard u can push when u drive a kart and if you spin, you try again cos karting is relatively safe. If you worry about damage – see my advice on no. 1 cos then u have your own money.
all the best.

Participantvideo no function…..so I cannot confirm the driver and the co-driver….
I did recall I did give yy a flying lap and I still have a video to show it…..somewhere.
Maybe a shifter video will raise all your eyebrows……the speed, the acceleration! oh la la!
Jules
ParticipantNice….and nice roads too…..share with me one day okie?

Participant

How big is this patch? Yes, the latest design is surely better than the “rising sun” design…….which sorry to say- dun agree with me!!
KA KA KA……which was not intended anyhow!!! OSF, u FIRE STONE!!! he he he
anyway, seriously what is the size planned for the “approved” design? size as in width and length of the patch!
Thanks!

Participantyeap, loeb wrc champ again…..
and kinda sad for rossi too on bikes…..crashing out like that!!! but as the commentators said it – gracious till end even when he lost esp how he shooked and thanked all members of team, when he pulled into his own pit. ( all team members clapping their hands )
that’s what sports and motorsports is all about….giving ur best!
sorry i went tangent…..
CONGRATS MONSIEUR LOEB!!!

ParticipantI am reminded to drive karts well, I gotta be like jenson….smooth!
i talk abt race karts and at that level, tyre preservation to the end of the races is also part of the game.
Nohad, a kart with plenty of front grip will make ur kart twitchy…..and oversteering on exit ( or worse even entry…) – not always a good set-up as you need fast hands, plenty of energy to drive not to mention, high wear on rears.
best is neutral and yes, in k2, k3 – there is no handling to speak about. k1 aspires to change that and make this a technical sports, as it should be!
Jules
ParticipantLOL! esp for no. 5…..
Jules
ParticipantMikko n myself has been karting ( he seriously, me for fun ) the last 6 years…..
I can only say the article is very true here too except most drivers last 2 years…..unless
1) they have a true passion,
2) have a rich father, uncle, mother, uncle, sugar daddy
3) doing a side business to finance the racing
4) daydream they can make F1I think you need at least 2 of the above to last longer than the 2 years I quoted.
Interestingly, 2 also concerns $$$
Jules
ParticipantWell, whilst I think BTCC is very exciting – I do also think it involves too much bumping and shoving, which fosters bad driving and those who want to be formula car drivers should not learn such tactics…..nor karters.
I like touring cars endurance style ala Bathurst better cos you have a bit of the shoving but with some reservation in mind.
24hrs r the best with the Worlds Sports Car or even those from the American Le Mans…..
Just my preference.
Jules
Participantnot ec for Gronholm but nothing is impossible in motorsports esp rallying!
Jules
ParticipantMS is a professional, rite to the end on all levels. He is racing even outside the cockpit and uses mind games to win…….some drivers just cannot hack it just like Webber! ( Webber…what a whinger)
MS is an ideal driver to any team manager! PERIOD.
He be missed by most, but not most drivers!
Jules
Participantboth right…..and we lose in end. sigh!
Jules
ParticipantRossi tested for Ferrari F1 team rite?
This guy is multi talented and a delight to watch….2 or 4 wheels. Saw him on TV for last year’s Race of the Champions……
Jules
ParticipantWell, good of Bernie to say that but in the end, it’s a business for him.
In regards to the choice of Korea – I wonder if that will really be that good. Koreans are never known to be that car crazy unlike their neighbours Japan or even the rest of us, Asians.
Anyhow, Singapore is a totally story so I am hopeful for a perhaps even a street circuit…….Sentosa Island? wuhoo…
yeah karting as stepping stone? too much talk and no action really. just count the number of competiton class kart tracks this region has and you get my drift.
