MyKart – the first amateur kart group to able to get a standby ambulance service in their events
MyKart – the first amateur kart group to run a race team
MyKart – the first of many to come!!!!!Cheers!!
Jules
Participantalfagta…
where got free things in life one????? he he but for you, my fee is your time & one drink ( NON Alcoholic some more ) /ice cream only….cheap cheap!
seriously, we do runs on Sat but this week, cannot cos the track is booked for the entire week! Next weekend okay!
glad to have you on board ( both ) of you & prepare to see big improvement in your MyKart racing performance…..RACUN!!! RACUN!!!
Jules
ParticipantAlfaGta = Steward rite? In any case, congrats & another kaki karter to practise with…..
Pls change your tyres…..speak to OSF!
Fazz,
You are ONE step to be ex-communicated from me…..he he LOL…pls grab the other kart! Seriously, tyres presently will cost less…..and if you decide to stop driving momentarily for what ever reasons – you can lug the kart home in ur Fiat and store it there! ( no storage cost then…..)Cheers!

ParticipantI guess it’s okay although to be super transparent, maybe we should annouce how much goes into the MyKart Kitty Litter…..he he.
Anyway, for the very marginal increase, I think it’s good to use it for some token prizes. Now, we dun want to make it more attractive cos we certainly dun want more desperate driving on-track……just because of some “prizes”.
Just my 2 kupangs…..
Jules
ParticipantUnder some circumstances……ie. low grip, rain – a heavy person can help get more grip by shifting his weight around the rite ends of the kart…..
as fazz said, this thread is abt safety, so I wun dilute the topic with another…….
Jules
ParticipantOSF,
on your flags – can you elaborate who will man them and for what reasons? I know the flag meaning but who will decide? esp the black one……
1. Check the brakes & throttle BEFORE getting into the kart
2. During the 1st few laps, do not follow directly behind the kart in front until you know the braking points of the driver. Leave yourself room to maneuver in case he brakes too early – half a kart’s width should be sufficient.
3. Do not party too late the night before MyKart race!
4. Warm up the brakes and do a few hard stops on WARM UP lap to get a feel of brakes and how kart will handle on braking limit…..
5. Be alert at all times and take notice of flags being waved
6.
7.
8.Jules, maybe we should talk to City Karting about them getting a black flag and put another red flag at the hairpin near the pit building.
ParticipantI hear my name being mentioned???
Yes, it takes skill to defend line and Eric & Wai Leong are both very experienced racers…..I am NOT in their league, this is for sure.
In any case, is the youngster that was dicing with Eric on the same engine? Likely he is on a J engine which means Eric is really playing with him cos 58s are a bit slow for his calibre….unless it’s on some old tyres.
On WL’s laptime : 56s on YGK – as those used in Kelantan would be about rite but maybe a second faster is correct.
Last of all, Fazz – as said, pls bite the bullet. You will soon notice karting is quite affordable if you drive for fun….like most of us! Best way to improve your karting is seat time….nothing less!
Cheers!

ParticipantCalling Munib Calling Munib!
Bro Fazz,
As long as the engine is in good order – all other minor bits attached to the chassis are relatively cheap to replace!
Have a test drive…ask Jason to have a go! he will gladly help u!!
The benefit of buying off a pal is that he wun sell u a lemon….so I encourage u again!
Jules
ParticipantFazz,
If you dun buy this kart – I wun forgive you…..the price is okay fvor the set-up quoted here. Chassis is not the latest type now but was popular in the early 2000. How many hours have the engine clocked since re-built ( if it was rebuilt before….)
For your info, you will spend little on tyres…..speak to OSF. He is our “Michelin” man. LOL.
Cheers!
Jules
ParticipantWah…from Sunway Extreme Park to a new Shah Alam track….would be keen to know abt this and perhaps do a drive one day!
Uncle Richard, Elite mechanic…..but good to know if he is indeed developing this and the mechanics found better places of employment but whatever, I am only a driver and a CLIENT!
Jules
ParticipantWun be surprised anyway…….esp if the car tyres start touching the tarmac with their rims……
Maybe the operators dun care cos of the imminent closure? Sad what ever it is….
