Well done Desmond! At least now you will give a higher respect for those who does this….even for fun!

As I was there for the finals, Des started in 6th and the 1st lap was a mess with tangles at the 1st bend and also at the bottom of the hill – which took a few drivers out.

Then a few laps later, the leader ( Terence ) also packed up with a loose earth ignition wire…his mechanic should be shot!

In racing, luck matters and someone was smiling for Desmond which was an excellent result on its own!

Hope your arms are not so sore ( Deli tyres are less grippier than Mojo D2 ) but you are right, racing does really train you mentally.

Car racing esp MME is now for you…yawn! ( he he )

I wun make it this round so its likely you & Hanif.

The racing should start at about 9 and by noon, you be at least done with Heat 2…

RM1350 some years back…..now I dun know and there is a new generation for the Pro model, so there’s likely a price increase.

    Zainy,

Did you check if the sensor is the issue? You just go to CK, borrow one sensor and wave a magnet over the sensor…..that should trigger a reading/timing.

If that’s the issue, buy a spare…maybe Chris can help!

    Chris,

Happy New Year and a belated Merry Xmas.

Just an advice – get a timing system which uses magnetic strip timing as most kart tracks would have this strip already in place. Shah Alam, Elite and Sepang all have this.

Unless u want to use the IR/beacon setup for some other things – the magnetic strip is best….nothing to leave on track, nothing to forget and hence you wun lose anything. Zero Maintenance too.

Btw, rpm is the other very important feature to have ( for tuning ) plus a water temp sensor too ( to monitor health of engine )….all features which the Alfano Pro has.

    Happy Shopping.

This fella got too many toys to play but is physically not here to play it lar…..

Nice car – I loaned it for a few days when he first bought it. This was one of the Hot Hatches from the late 80s, and its an icon. ( of course, not as terror as the Mark 1 Rabbit )

Great play car for those who wants my final opinion and he has the right bits and SPARE engine.

    Cheers.

    Guys,

This is EXCELLENT and as such, for those who are joining any MyKart events – you now have a place to get your complete gear!

Those who are joining the Enduro should also wear fully closed attire ( no short sleeves ) for YOUR own safety sake!!!

I would NOT compromise on safety and I have 2 broken ribs to tell u while fun karting in a 100cc. They took 6 week to stop hurting and have a slight ache now and then, plus a disfigured rib cage to show….

Think, suit up before u hit the track literally!

    Cheers,
    Jules

Yes, there is an alpinestar dealer in Sri Hartamas and the owner is related to someone in this forum…

On spares – dun buy abroad cos kart spares get taxed too….30% if I am not wrong. In addition, there’s the cost of freight and the risk that the part wun fit…..

You can get from local dealers such as CK, KRS ( Mikko ), RL ( Aaron ) or even JK Racing ( John King ). Be specific what you want and they can normally help at you be assured it works…..
