what action should we take from here now?

My opnion that we take only 10 races per year over longer period of contract. Enduro replace with other format uses 80s or 100s. Aside to difficulty of getting drivers for k1 for enduro, it also safety concern. xD

Not quite understand this part

“125cc INDIVIDUAL RACE
Year Rate Format
2007 RM 220 / head Heat 1 – 8 laps
2008 RM 220 /head Heat 2 – 8 laps
2009 RM 200 /head Final – 8 laps”

was that saying year 1 or heat 1 that cost RM220 at the very first line?

My personal opinion that RM220 per head is doable. 10 drivers per race and 6 endurance races 125cc will be the hard part.

Ways i can think of resolving this are to strecth the contract period also means our commitment to CK, replace the 125cc endurance series $$$ with other format, just to cope with the same amount.

After all, My-kart is capable of runnig our own K1 series without CRG series from CK. As for a new started club, $$$ wise will be bit of concern. If we can not accept this offer there always next time 😀

As for K1 category, we can start looking at old chassis (decent la) and build up 125cc store at CK as for rental basis. That would really need to sit down to make the $$$ calculation

The initial cost will be listed as

1. rental RM 600 yearly
2. track time per race + machanics RM 180
3. tires RM 300 per set
4. cost of the chassis $$$???
5. cost of the 125cc engine $$$ ???

do you guys think we can started of as a co-host to rent out to members for hire purchase scheme? how much needed to invest for initial capital and projected ROI?

just my 2 sen 😀

Personally, the lap in which I felt I have driven the slowest always turn out to have the best lap time. Slow in, fast out and be smooth. You will feel slow but your lap times will show otherwise.
interesting 2 drivers per team as dicussed before. Team principal sponsor 2 teams format.

2 drivers format
================
5 minutes sprint race for grid position of 1 driver, 55 minutes for endurace race of 2 drivers.

Each driver will at least 15 minutes drive time, with no pit stop limitation. Pit opens at first 15 minutes and close at last 15 minutes. Any team misses pit window will penalised.

Reason being, tean principal will have the right to impose race stategy of which team to pit first and which to stay out. Minimize pitting times will also shows the real endurance race for both drivers karts, stategy and team work.

3 dirvers format
================
As mentioned above by Bro Naza. 20 minutes sprint race deciding team grid position for endurance race. 40 minutes enurance race of 2 drivers with at leat 15 minutes drive time. Pit window opens at first 15 minutes and close at last 15 minutes with no pitting time limitation. Any team misses pit windows will be penalised.

We need to decide the number of drivers per team ASAP. My vote will goes to 2 drivers format.
:up: Pls take note that the 6 Endurance events must be included for the agreed CRG/PRD case; (2 years) which resulting 12 Endurance races must be run troughtout the years. Looks like a lot of work on promotions to be done.

May be we can include the IC3 races to cater the 12 Endurance events.

Regards
I guess for safety reason, K1 CRG package should not open to IC3, which IC3 is open to public event.

1. is not adviseable to offer 125cc to public for safety reason.
2. K1 CRG package is exclusive only to my-kart members, damage at IC3 event will be very tedious and nasty.

Naza, ok I will come up the new K1 and K1-open format post up here for discussion.

Back on the catch based on 8K per kart.

1st year
========
rental 160 x 10 races = 1600
endurance 640 x 6 races = 3840
giving total 5440 at 1st year

If 8K divide by 2yeas gives 4K per year, with access of 1440 access for maintanence cost. I guess still doable.

2nd Year
========
rental 170 x 10 races = 1700
endurance 640 x 6 races = 3840
giving total 5540 at 2nd year

carry forward cost of previous year of 4k, gives 8k – 4k for 2nd year

Scenario
Assumning 1st year cost of maintanance of each kart 50% from 1440 gives 720 per kart, therefore base covering cost 4000 + 720 = 4720.
8000(total cost) – 4720(rental from 1st year) = 3280(needed to cover)

at 2007 mid season
==================
3 enduros X 640 = 1920
6 races x 170 = 1020
total giving 2940

In this best case scenario, CK will cover the cost per kart in 18 months.

Though arguable in the maintance cost. What likely will it be, Tires brake pads.
Assuming the CSC mid compound can last 3 races, it takes 3 sets for My-kart 10 round series, Probably 3 sets for enduro total of 6 sets per kart.

what will be the cost for CSC tires since they have ordered 1000 pieces in bulk? 200 per set ? below 200?

So, 2 years cover the cost with profit i think is feasible to CK.

if we located 15 minutes practise session for 3 drivers, plus pit in/out each driver will probably takes about 2 to laps each driver to familiar with the kart.
Left 45 minutes for endurance race divide by 3 drivers, which take about 15 minutes each. In 15 minutes session taking the average of 1 minutes 20 second average per lap, each driver takes about 11 laps excluded pitting time.

Just feel that is abit to pack and short of time for endurance race though.
