Participant

………So in a nut shell, buy the most expensive helmet you can afford to protect your most precious asset….er, your MAIN HEAD!
cheers.

If you intend to go to track often in your car, buy a FIA approved helmet or any helmet approved by a recognised motorsports body. If you can’t afford it now, go on track with caution and restraint until you can! Those at the HPC event down in Pasir Gudang will tell you why this is important.
What happen?

Participantthat is no actual R&R but P&D (pay and drive)
just drive your car to Sepang side entrance (pit lane entrance), registration counter will be setup at pit entrance, pay RM150 and that is it.
Just make sure your car no engine oil leak, brakes and tires are in good condition.

Participant
i will try to be there this SATURDAY……say at 1pm onwards.
As I am a bit shy – pls come up to me and say hi or if u want a play drive…..just ask me. As promised to some – if my time permits, free coaching is also possible but of course success of learning is not guaranteed.
Hope to see some of the private karters there as welll i.e. Luen, Muhaymin, Alvin and Jason……
I also hope to run a rotary valve shifter kart……..6 gears!
cheerio!
Sifu Jules, I will try to come this Saturday. Just a question to ask, do I need to buy another set of tires for practice if I have intention to go for the forth coming K1 series?

Participantjust some techinical questions that come across me
1. Is K1 going to be open or confined to one type engine made
2. Techincal specs
a. should define the main-jet (is that how to spell) size, confirm to one size
b. Plug code, eg Denso IW-29? 33?
c. spockets teeth size, for both front and back.I guess we have already decided to tire’s model and compound type. My take is that brake pad compound and rotor will not take so much of effect of the braking performance (please correct me if I am wrong).
Chassis if going to be open for any make, it will be up to individual settings and prefference, that is where the learning is coming from.
Will that ok to take it for this coming 15th TT session for discussion?

ParticipantTo me, I am just rookie to any of these formats and tire compounds. I guess with this that only i can improve myself just drive in any condition and any format. I will go with any decided format.
I am ok with the majority decisions.

Participantwonder what will be the price for k1 charging for the normal series, is that only RM180 no surplus charge?
Overall I am satisfied with the K1 debut that we had last few weeks, just my kart let me down, not to complaint about it but myself did not setup properly.
