If “rental” driver can commit to annual rental. Let just say RM3000 for annual rental just for the kart. Driver can use the for practise as just like own-kart. Every practice and parts wear and tear costs footing just like private-own kart. Like RM180 for practice session and other cost slike brake pads, tires, battery and etc.

Pros, not satisfied with the kart, treat it as a annual rental. Else nego. $$$ balance with CK. Running cost for practise will be on par and private-own karts, therefore it should minise the issue lack of track time and $$$ makes champion.

Individual does not need to own a kart like RM8000 ~RM9000 for a start just to have a little advantage of track time for practice and setting.

Cons, CK most likely will not take this proposal haha

Personally for me, I can’t afford to do both K1 & K2. My wife almost had a seizure when she found out how much I paid for the K1 event last Sat..and obviously that night we had a nice dinner outing in a nice restaurant to appease her!
haha Saa73, sama sama. Took my wife dinner outing she asked about the cost for this round, I just kept diverting the conversation. hahaha

agree partially. This round we were discounted off the technical team support fees where they usually charge RM180. Actual cost will be 180 + 280 = RM460 for rental kart for next round with tire.

Bare in mind the testing and setting at drivers’ own costs. From battery, plugs down to every single bolts and nuts, those are absolutely hidden.. I have just spent RM1100 for kart preparation and RM330 for race day tires, total of RM1430. Yet kart not as competitive as “rental” so called. Comparing to one time RM500 charges is very much depending on ones individual’s view.
just for info

Nohad and me are fathers……so we can understand what your dad is doing.

I think my young drivers talk with a more maturity, direction, focus, sense than you, and I mean its not just on karting topic. So i think its not just the lack of karting skills you have here and maybe you father knows what’s missing and hence protecting you.

    Think about it.
Acutally it is a good case study for us dad being. Think about it, you will definately be delighted when your kids say they want to pursue dad’s dream but what about otherwise?

Alvin, true for most of them saying, the ultimate answer lies within you, we are not encouraging you go against your dad. However there certain cost of actions that you would need to take of convincing your dad. How? only you know, nobody can advise. No matter how My-karters tried to guide ,in many ways as too there are boundaries.

Show us your determination, We looking forward meeting you on 2nd December 2006. Free lesson?? Let’s talk on that day

1 set of new Apexis 65 tyres

The tyres you be using will be a shock to most of you. No grip on braking, no grip on acceleration. Hence the 15min practise is important.

Btw, to get a timing for qualifying, you need transponder which I hope is included in pricing.
Tried out the MW/Rotax Max with Apexis 65 tyres today.

Verdict : OMG! Where’s the grip?

There is so much power on the kart but not much grip and you are practically playing drifting on the parabolic! It’s going to be a field day for the video filmers.

Yup, transponders will be provided for the 125cc & 80cc endurance karts.
