ParticipantBro Naza,
Since it is set to meet CK this saturday, I think we will sort out all the possibilities. From my point of view, it is a great opportunity without any loose end (at least for now). Though it is a win-win situation but i think, relatively it is more towards My-kart as the karts would be exclusively for the club with the same race fee imposed on the K2’s. ( something like private karts belongs to My-kart with zero storing and maintenance fee ).I think we’ll look forward to saturday’s discussion to make it a reality.
cheers.
p.s … aiyaa zul, tak boleh tahan that 125 adrenalin loh!!! cucuk, cukup cukup. I can smell that CRG road rebels oredy.

Naza and mizi cud add to it. Those karts looked fantastico.

Participant
just wondering..how much do they charge for 80cc night time?
Just to add… the fees for last Thursday event was RM 300 per team.muhaymin
ParticipantGuys !!!!!
Last Thursday @ 14/12/2006, Shaeran aka Pelumba Haram and I participated to one of the 80 cc night enduro races organized by CK. The format is 2 person per team with 4 mandatory pit stops where each pit stop must not be less than 10 mins. The overall race duration was 110 mins ( Of course My-Kart can change the format )
I was informed that on a normal day the 80 cc’s would be faster during night with at least 7 – 12 sec per lap. This was supported by CK. Perhaps you pros may want to comment on this theory ( maybe the track condition, temp, or for whatsoever reasons) but of course that could not be proven this time as we happily drifting throughout.
The race started at about 8.50 p.m. with a modest of 12 teams of whom mostly are novices and intermediates. The track condition was wet with water all over as it was slightly drizzling. CK race marshals prompted if the group still wanted to race. As the pack was so eager and enthusiastic with some even brought their own night markers and gadgets hooked on their helmets to communicate, all of them agreed to proceed. We, as usual followed the group without any hesitation as we ourselves never had experienced such condition before. ( so call want to practice lah …) We noticed none of them from My-Kart. This made the event a bit tougher as we do not know how this people would behave especially on that wet condition. Though, we do not want to under estimate anyone as we ourselves may and will (definitely) make silly mistakes as well due to the unforgiving weather. ( Sorry guys ,,, no wet tyres ). So, goes the balloting process with ballast fitted for the skinnies.
As much anticipated, a qualifying lap was set to determine the positions. Adi, ( he did not ballot and raced for fun ) clocked ahead of us with 8 sec difference ( there were slight advantage to him as he uses a handle to steer due to his condition and that probably gave him a little bit of over/under steer- Maybe, but he was also a big timer with a lot of experience behind him). Since he was not counted in, our team by default lead the pack followed by the rest.
The race was extremely enjoyed as the kart was drifting all over. we were laughing as if we were at a fun fair. Both of us did not have any experience racing at night especially on a wet surface and that added the fun. The whole race was well organized with zero casualty. Everyone enjoyed the race and ended with light refreshments and trophies for the winners. Though both of us took the flag and spread My-Kart activities as usual to the rest but it was the fun that we actually won that night.
We ought to do one for the club…. trust me, it will be worth. And the best part, you’ll never feel that you’d driven a kart the night before … at least for me.

ParticipantA thunderous applause for the ever not tiring race committee. No better words can be put together to comment their effort especially to ‘our’ founder ‘Mr. FAZZ’. Year by year, it is just getting better, wetter, sweeter and ‘hotter’,,, wooohoooo..
The finale was an event that worth missing my trip to the US ( Not mentioning my comical act with Ashraff aka Mr. Clowny on the pace car- sorry guys that was an unscheduled act pulled by Clowny…hehehehe ). I am so grateful to My-Kart for excelling to this level.
Can’t wait to get into action again.

ParticipantGuys..!!! it was an eventful day i should say. Such a stress relieving event especially with the addition of the grid gals.. emmm yum yum.. What say u feekey ( ada kaler putih ka )???
Neway, i must reckon that it was a day to remember, so funful yet competitive. A BIG THANK YOU to all who made it possible especially to BIG Bro Naza and Patrick (Nohad). Without tis event, some may still be bitting their finger nails wandering how the 125cc may feel.
I must also admit that though some of us who drove the 125’s for the first time but in that weather condition and tyre, all drove equally best and handled it as pros without any incident.
Kudos..

ParticipantJust thinking,,,, Is it possible to introduce “Early arrivals get best positions for the heats” I mean starting grids. ( At least for the first heat) then subsequently we may have heat 2 as in normal positions placings.
-How to determine,? During registration and ‘bayar’ time.
If everyone gets there early, then we may start as normal. I know, I know…. I’m one of em. But rumah very the jauh la. But no more excuses.!!!!
This will also give opportunity for fellows who may not get pole positions in the heats to get one.
How, boleh??muhaymin
ParticipantI would like to place comment on the seriousness of KartQuest handling events. They should be more aware of the sensitivity and service level that they are providing to their clients. This would be gauged for future events and help boost their marketing.
They should also be more accommodating and positive in terms of complaints and customer feedback, not otherwise.My-Kart has gone through various stages and had developed to a better establishment since. We have good structured and organized schedule and most importantly cooperative members than any other motor clubs that I have encountered. All of us are still practicing in becoming a good driver, Nevertheless, we are also eager to reach to a better level. There may be some unpleasant events which could have stirred some negative behavior in ourselves but hey, aren’t we all still practicing?.
