OSFlanker,
Good idea! Then we can a new category, kart drifting!!!

Not a new idea. Many have already pursued this form of karting, particularly when they are alloted a slow kart in the race with no other karter within sight! :p

The new Golf GTI DSG gets my vote!
Just your vote? How about your money? hehehe

Although elsewhere in the world the 1 series is the natural rival to the Golf, in Malaysia the tax structure sort of blur the boundaries. Interior space wise, I would say the golf is not far off from the E90, except for the boot size. So given the price range, I would say that the golf is an alternative to the 3 series here in Malaysia.

Rain doesn’t mean you can’t practice! Wait for the rain to stop then head out on the wet track – your kart control will improve immensely!
Oiye.. no one interested aaaa? *sigh*
Maybe timing is not rite? Maybe someone has already submitted application to the “finance minister”? Can sell one, but need time. Early this year between a few of us we bought 6 used karts from City Karting.

    1. Check the brakes & throttle BEFORE getting into the kart
    2. During the 1st few laps, do not follow directly behind the kart in front until you know the braking points of the driver. Leave yourself room to maneuver in case he brakes too early – half a kart’s width should be sufficient.
    3. Do not party too late the night before MyKart race!
    4. Warm up the brakes and do a few hard stops on WARM UP lap to get a feel of brakes and how kart will handle on braking limit…..
    5. Be alert at all times and take notice of flags being waved
    6.
    7.
    8.

Jules, maybe we should talk to City Karting about them getting a black flag and put another red flag at the hairpin near the pit building.
RR Parilla tyre Medium compound. Bought it from 911. Tires not suitable for Karting. Got cheated..
I think those tires from 911 Zentrum are meant for 4 stroke karts which are heavier.
Only 56s? I thought he was doing 55s and 54s. At least thats what Ah boon and Ah Low said. Maybe 56s was his time on that particular day perhaps.
54’s and 55’s can only be achieved in favourable conditions on good tyres. Last weekend Wai Leong & pals were using the tyres from the Kelantan race.

No matter the lap time, we all should learn how to defend position like Alonso at Imola – clean but firm.

Yes, we need more race practise in addition to solo testing runs, so running together with Eric & Jules will be a big bonus. Unfortunately Eric normally run on Sundays, I tried hard to pursuade him to change to Sats, but have not been successful!
Not only race with Eric & Jules, Wai Leong will be in the race too! Imagine the 3 of them at the front doing 1 min laps, we won’t be able to pass them with our current skills!

I read it’s both. Maybe they want to participate in the WTCC instead? Hope they will support semi-privateer teams in rally if they don’t want to field works team…….

Loeb has been with Citroen all his motorsports life……if Citroen pullls out of rally, it will be interesting if he joins Subaru! Loeb in a Subaru WRC with Solberg as teammate – imagine the dominance – but I doubt it will be a Senna-Prost McLaren situation!
Chill Chill dudes, I heard there’s a new track somewhere in Shah Alam. To be confirmed though. I’m looking for it. Suppose to be run by Mr Richard Lim. Anyone knows him? Half of City Karting Elite Mechanic Crew was taken up by him.
Would this be the same guy also known as Uncle Richard? Whereabout will this new kart track be? Uncle Richard used to be with City Karting.

What’s “City Karting Elite” mechanic crew? You meant the race mechanics Tat Loong and Ah Lau?

I reckon MyKart can do a good job of running the Sepang track, esp with our pilot connections.

Weekdays can target the pilots & flight crews (here we go again!!!), esp those beauties from Air Emirates 😉

I was told even the drifters are not too happy with the track – blown tyres, cracked rims, cracked bumpers, etc.
