[/quote]…seriously.. Sabelt, do you have contacts? Can you try to arrange for us to have an rfactor challenge going during our launch? I read yesterday, that Cyberview had 20 of these things (not rfactor…not sure what) set up during their annual go-kart event in conjunction with F1. If you have the contacts, etc, pls forward them to the Marketing committee headed by Euss and see what we can get out of this for the event.

I think early 2004? when my racing suit was still pristine white (and not pink & smeggy!)

[/quote] pink suit?? nooo…i’m opening a thread on this!!As mentioned above, we hope and pray it never happens again. We would be interested to understand the outcome of the investigation and make sure we understand what lead to the accident.
As for our my-KART events, safety is always top of mind:
– comprehensive safety briefing held before every event
– we promote and try to instil “responsible and respectful” racing among my-Karters
– we work to influence the track organisers to ensure reliable and safe karts
– the events are managed and run by experienced my-karters
– recognising that accidents do happen, St John’s ambulance on standby on each eventWhile the news report is still quite sketchy, it did seem that this accident happened in a “walk-in customer” situation, with many of the above conditions not present.
Our condolences go out to her family.
Just to give Kimi some face, heard on the radio today that water was leaking from Kimi’s car, and they ran on lower revs.
