Patrick – Thanks for allowing use of your digital camera yesterday and also uploading these great pics. I’d also like to ask if the other my-Karters who took photos could upload the photos as well – I know Azlee took loads, and Gavin as well.

Anyway, despite the moody weather (and third rate bomoh – yes, Muhaymin, you know I’m talking about you!!), this is definitely the highlight of our year!

Memorable and hilarious moments for me were:

– K3 “wet race” – the most fun I’ve had as a spectator!
– Pace car spinning off and getting left behind by the pack – who else but Ashraff and Muhaymin (wearing that silly helmet) at the wheels!
– The 125 sprint race – wow! – great racing by everyone and really fun to have all factors equalised and just relying on pure driver skills! Yes, I want K1 ! (although yesterday, due to some rain, it nearly became DK1!)
– The My-Kart “Angels” Jennifer & Winnie from Tangerine Models…wah! suddenly everyone control hensem on the track!

Hope you all had as much fun as me and I’d like to say a special thanks to the hard work put in by the organising committee for a great day!

AJK Makan..

I did recall I did give yy a flying lap and I still have a video to show it…..somewhere.

Maybe a shifter video will raise all your eyebrows……the speed, the acceleration! oh la la!
Jules…this is the “flying lap” video…confirmed…I can hear your voice!

actually, I don’t think it was me in the Yellow Kart. That was another video I took of the rolling start for one of the K2 races. This is the one YY took with Jules I think. Apologies to the cameraman and driver!

I’ll upload the others when I find them on my laptop!
Mikko n myself has been karting ( he seriously, me for fun ) the last 6 years…..

I can only say the article is very true here too except most drivers last 2 years…..unless

1) they have a true passion,
2) have a rich father, uncle, mother, uncle, sugar daddy
3) doing a side business to finance the racing
4) daydream they can make F1

I think you need at least 2 of the above to last longer than the 2 years I quoted.

Interestingly, 2 also concerns $$$
i have (1), don’t have (2) or (3) and can’t possibly indulge in (4) (too old already maa)! it’s amazing I’ve lasted over 5 yrs…

that’s cool man….maybe for us, in leading up to the grand finale street race at KLCC, we should start small and “do” smaller towns first, like Klang, Seremban, Rawang, etc, to show the authorities how safe and organised we are, before doing KLCC area! heh heh… at least the winners of the smaller towns can be called “Jaguh Kampung” if nothing else…heh heh…I’m sure Yus would be Jaguh Kampung Mantin….! 😉
