it means late braking :D
..hahaha..meaning the cones mark the spot where you HAVE to brake or else u run off the track hahaha

Naza – another thing, I think we should place some cones at K1 braking points, since this will be the first time all of us race CCW.

If you can get a slot with CK for the CCW testing, let me know, I’m willing to take the risk and work out the braking points…hehehe

Thanks all for the constructive feedback.

One common theme I want to pick up and emphasise is the race start procedure. It is clear that we need to:

– Review and agree the race start procedures for all series, K1/K2/K3.
– Ensure that these procedures are communicated to all drivers.
– Ensure that only knowledgeable volunteers are in charge of the starting procedures, plus lap charts, flagging system, etc

It is clear that there may be “grey areas” in the procedures, and some drivers or some volunteers may not even be fully aware of the procedures.

This is something for the committee to pick up and resolve before the next race.

Like I said, these are areas to improve – but we have done well to run the events generally smoothly and safely but need to iron out the kinks to ensure they run even better!

Naza – thanks. No harm in making absolutely sure that we know the track characteristics at 125cc power level.

Edwyn/Naza,

Would you mind sharing detaisl of this product with the rest of us? Maybe in the classified ads section.

Good to share these things among friends in view of the rising crime rate in this country.

MEMBERSHIP UPDATE: By the way, since Dec 2007, we have had 15 new members paid up to join Kelab my-KART Selangor, of which 8 members signed up today during Round 1.

Naza, Mark and I are working to ensure all the forms are submitted and cards produced asap.

Luen:

i) Spare kart -> I think we’ll be lucky to get up to 14 karts, right?

ii) Ballasting – was a bit loose…no checking after the race.

iii) Loss of ballast – DQ lah…

iv) Private karters – yes, why not. But looking at the Kosmics, there’s an obvious power difference, but hey, why not run two groups, ie private karters and CRGs together..they can use us for target practice!
– This will also “free up” the CRGs assuming those privateers in the group opt to use their own kart – eg Luen, Naza, Tarmizi, Fazz, Mumu, Mark, Amirul…that’s 7 spare karts already!

Run it like MME – 2 classes in the same race…maybe for safety…let the 125 privateers start in front lah…

v) Speeding up K1 event…I thought it was quite speedy already once we got going….we anticipated loss of time due to initial ballasting…but one thing we did that saved time was to just show the grid and let the group arrange themselves on track…like how we do K2…

Luen, this RM450 per team.

Just a challenge:
This works out to RM225 per person for a 1 hour Enduro on 80cc.
my-KART members will surely compare to the my-KART walk in voucher where 1 hour = 6 x RM25 = RM 150 purely for kart rental.
What will they get for the extra RM75? -> Ambulance, food/drinks (~RM15?), track booking and trophies?

Need to ensure we can defend the costs if asked by members.
Folks,
Lets drop the private kart idea and like Fazz said keep it open for now.

….can proceed lah!.
Let’s formally sign this off. Based on the above responses:

Fazz – ok to proceed
Azlan – ok to proceed
Naza – ok to proceed

Naza,

My responses:

i) The minutes of meeting adequately covers the rules & regulations for anyone wanting to join & participate in K1. I think the only missing element was the participation of “Privateer” karters using their own karts in K1. We did not specifically discuss this – I would assume, from your comments, that it will be encouraged, hence freeing up the CRG/PRD karts for non-owners?
If so, you would probably need to make it clear that the rules are for K1 participants using the CRG/PRD, and 125 cc privateer owners will be invited to use their karts, but subject to committee approval and scrutineering of karts before each event.

ii) RM600 deposit would therefore apply to K1 participants using CRG/PRD. Question – do we also impose the same on Privateers with own karts? My thoughts – yes, because they may cause damage to the CRGs too…

iii) Payment deposit – to mykart Promotions Sdn Bhd account because our #$^ club account is still in limbo. I might try opening an account with another bank actually..maybe Al Rajhi or CIMB….cheh…
Anyway – we can provide a/c details for payment via ATMS. However, they must SMS me and then provide copy of receipt printout as proof of deposit.

If the above are clear, we can procceed

Folks,
The Wed 19th CRG testing date is still looking good and there could be 5 or more units to be tested. So I would suggest a few if not more my-kart test drivers to do driving duties on that day.

Volunteers please:

1. Tarmizi (exam sudah habis!)
2. Naza (only if I could houdini myself from work at 1 pm)
3. Azlan Houdini – 3pm can?
4.
5.
