ParticipantTry google and key in RACING SPONSORSHIP.
First of all, racing scene in Malaysia are quite dead. Less than 10 AAM sanctions a year. Only well known experience race drivers might stand a chance to get the cut providing good PR and connection. 90% of sponsorship are funded from Sponsor Sendiri Sdn. Bhd. Even Karamjit singh are lack of sponsorship to run in APRC.
Get yourself establish. Just be involved anything about motorsport. From mechanic to time keeper, technical advisor to team manager, slave etc.. Involve anything! It takes time. Believe me.
Malaysian Super Series? What is that? I couldnt even follow your race series because your superseries website link are dead.
Race coverage? With a tiny 3″x2″ column newspaper? Even Mat Rempits gets their attention with 2-3 full page coverage almost everyday and now a leading political party forms a club for them?
About MSS, expect some 50 spectators at the grandstand on the raceday itself and 95% sponsorship won’t be interested due to its dull coverage and poor turnouts unless the sponsor have their business interest with the team. Sad but true.
Dissapointed motorsport fan.
p/s : Dont expect too much to receive cash from sponsorship.
Good luck!

ParticipantLooks like you all fast karter likes to tail out before the entry. Would that save much time? For me i rather have smooth line and slight understeer on the exit. No wonder im slow. 🙁

Participant
Great experience, espcially night driving + heavy rain = poor visibility. Almost drove by feeling… hahaha
Not only that, always need to be on alert to let faster cars from behind and stayed out of the racing line during the rain. Banged a tire wall after turn 8 exit after the car lose control without warning. I believe there’s an oil on that 8 exit and recovered on time without any major problems except few dents and cracks on rear passenger side bumper.
Also, almost involved in a pile-up before turn 7 entry that involves 4 cars at that time. Then, the safety car comes out for 3 laps. Was very lucky to finish this race.

Participant
looks like yr car is under power..not enuf viagra i think.congrat for finish t RACE
Yeah. It was underpower. Good handling compared with other team but losing out on the straights due to the scrutineer didnt approved us to use CAI (Cold Air Intake) hole at the bumper and asked us to cover the hole or else they wont provide us an OK sticker. If not, that would gain us 2-4 secs on the straight. Damn!
Congrats to team HPC! Just a suggestion, hope to see team HPC competing in class B or C next year to give chance other my-karters to drive in this kind of event. Felt sorry for henzee didnt made for the race due to his engine blew during first qualifying and stiff competition qualifying in class B.

ParticipantOur team, Active Motorsports, car no. 109, finished 40th overall out of 77 cars. 15th in class C out of 24 cars. With no technical problem except for frequent driver stop helped our team to complete the 12 hours race in 210 laps. Started 2nd last row from the back of the grid due to fuel & grounding issue during qualifying and things sorted out right before the race.
My first completed race after two attempts in previous MME. The most difficult and best ever experience race for me with heavy downpour which lasted more than hour beginning from 3am plus blind apex and less than 100m visibility. Track started to dry around 7am where most of the team changing back to slicks including our team.
Other my-kart drivers Ashraff, in class A (car no.33) also completed the race with 230 laps and Luen, in class C (car no.86) with 221 laps. Congrats to team R3 for defending the overall title again.
Also spotted my-karters : chooz, isk mildseven, azlan, chris chuang and azim wahab. Thank you for all your support!

Participant
2:42 is pretty quick! are they using racing slicks? they don’t lasts very long. regular pit-stops could put you way behind backmarkers.
if they use those silverstone partly sponsored tyres, i’d be impressed. got to start save some money for next next next MME!
Depend how the person drives and experience. Class B and C are only allowed to use 20 pcs silverstone slicks dry compund and 8 pcs of wet if not mistaken. Our target is to achieve 2:40-2:42 in qualifying and 2:48-2:50 in race.

Participant
ooh.. no wonder!!
ok ok … so your teams of 2:42 should be enough for some comfy space 🙂rm50.. thats alright. since get to walk around the pits.
do u know the rest of the entrace?only went for the 2003 edition MME, that time its “just” the Amprex M3, but gosh the straight 6 sounded wicked n damn it was blazingly fast compared to the GT3s. now quite looking forward to this years… since its midnight 🙂
For RM50 i think you could walk around the pits and other part of the circuit if im not mistaken. Will update you guys later.

Participant
2:42… last years DNQ EK did a 2:41 flat…
that category is jam-packed with cars man….
hope u guys qualify!!!i dont mind going provided got access to pits 😛 😛 sabelt can provide us some pitpasses?
last time at gstand damn boring man… nice for few hours la.. later nothing else to do already.been awhile since i log-on to mykart…wat to do..i got no net connection in opis..
FYI, 2:36-2:45 qualifying considered competitive enough to qualify in class c category. 120% within fastest time. Yup, noted that. That was due to 2nd driver didnt even exit from the pit due to technical problem. If one of the driver didnt go out and make a quick hot lap, considered DNQ.
Last year event, SIC overturn the qualifying rule from average driver to fastest individual format due to some ‘top’ drivers did not even made the cut. Official results only releases 2 hours after the last qualifying. This how sometimes the rule works in malaysia. I’ll try to workout for the pitpass but i can’t promise or else need to purchase for RM50 each.

Participant

Confirmed my participation in Class C. Honda EK. Third year in MME. Need strong support and sponsors from motorsport fans especially my-karters. Tips and suggestion for the coming endurance race (12 Hour race in Sepang) are welcomed. Thanks.
Dude,
That Honda EK you r driving is rented? If so, how much RM ah?
Very lucky this time. They offered me to drive without asking any money. Just sponsor them for accommodation and foods. Maybe we should look forward for my-kart team next year. Proton 1.8 pon cukup, as long as the car is competitive enough to qualify and finish pon ok already. I have one GTI bodyshell lying at my friend’s junkyard in USJ. Just provide 4G93 engine and other safety equipments, ok jalan!
Huffiz : EG je la. Met the owner of the trackcar yesterday (the one that offered 5k for a seat), and he did 2m42s consistently on night practice. 🙂
