Jazeman has won his 6th race (out of 12) of the 2007 Formula BMW Asia series thus maintaining his championship lead at Sentul.
Well done.
Also to add some pride for the jalur gemilang, Aaron Lim also won at Sentul in the Formula V6 Renault on Saturday making him the first Malaysian to win in the series.
Let’s hope that there are more Malaysians coming up the ranks particularly from karting.

thanks. be careful with removing the spam controller. i have had experience with PHPBB and it tends to be vulnerable to spammers…. hence, i migrated to drupal for sites such as this.

Thanks to Mikko for setting this forum up.
A few years back my good buddy Azlan and I founded a karting group. We love racing as a spectator as well as a participant… unfortunately neither of us were blessed with loads of cash. 🙂
Fortunately for us there were people out there who would rent karts for skint people like us. So we organised a few sessions with a group of friends. for fun – we called ourselves malaysia karting amateurs racing team – or my-kart for short.
Soon the word of mouth spread and we meet many more friends of friends who would join us – either occassionally, or regularly (buayas who want to collect championship points… lol).
Talking about championships – well yeah – you do collect championship points over a year long racing season. that is the fun part of it. it is not just about going fast on one lap on one race all by yourself. It is about racing (note: not driving 😉 ) consistently throughout the season, with a bunch of cool guys and girls!
For those of you who are serious, you get started in karting. But if you feel that money is a constraint and want to learn the ropes before committing – join my-kart.org – we are the Foundations of Motorsports. We aim to popularise grassroots motorsports: this is for all of you spectators and partcipants.

yup. the main hurdles are cost and minimum commitment as to races run on these machines. CK wants 6 enduros on these machines in addition to 10 sprint events. given the low response to the 100cc enduros, we believe that this is the main hurdle. the 10 sprint events, may not be a problem… although it is back to the cost factor.

i have the VHS from my mom. now how do i convert it to DVD/VCD? anybody have anyway to do so (or high quality avi file)?
the raindance was funny. also had a few clips of Uncle Razak smiling with his showercap on… that was classic – see we attract people of all ages. LOL. also saw somebody retiring… his suit was suspiciously like Ashraff’s….

renault seems to have caught up, kubica is back but heidfeld had problems.
interesting enough, rain is forecasted for raceday. should be exciting!

so the issues seems to be the faster karts…. so agree on running 80cc… but Kartquest does not have 80cc karts.

i was thinking of a matrix (preliminary for discussion) like this:
