Member
Fazz – pls convey a big THANK YOU to Ali Bai of NTV 7 for making us all look good!
yup done so. i’m asking him for the full footage including the uneditted ones.
yusnee – pls help maintain this in the media contact database so that we invite them in the future. they did a great coverage.
i would also like ntv7 to join us officially (media cover) and casually (as race participants) in future.
perhaps we could also convince ntv7 to do a series coverage of amateurs racing for glory?

Memberagree that we need to think about this. but we also need to be clear about the following sponsorship benefits:
per season
per race / event
per teamthen you have “grades of sponsors”
title sponsor
technical sponsor
partner
etcwe need to set these sponsorship matrices to come up with some idea on how to handle the various contribution so that we are not arbitrarily creating benefits for the sponsors.

Memberluen – you right about formalising this.
as for volunteers. i believe that we could award points for volunteering. eg. each category will have a volunteer. so we award points and accumulate them for the full year. we can also then determine the points currency etc.
event procedures: we have some available. perhaps not all is written. we just need to document them. event roles: i’ve done this one already. Feel free to improve on this.
as for promotion criteria. i guess we can put some very general guidelines. getting statistics on numbers of incidents etc is a bit difficult unless we have somebody dedicated to take note of incidents. but we can use the points scoring and attendance as data to support our proposal. however, this may need to be a small panel decision of (say) 3 senior people. somebody may need to propose and support the justification for promotion.

Memberit is a great surprise that kubica survive the crash. it was one of the most horrific crashes I’ve seen in f1 for a long time. to see the car launching point blank into a wall and then the broken carcass bouncing off the wall and rolling over on the track and into another wall across the track with bits and pieces flying off in all directions was a sickening sight. many feared the worst when there was a lack of movement in the cockpit.
thanks to the many safety pushes over the years, it looks like kubica will still be racing.

Memberwell done to hamilton for his first pole in his short f1 career. however, i just felt that alonso could have been on pole if not for the error (i missed it) at the last chicane. up to then he was posting fastest sector 1 and 2 times.
fantastic laps from Heidfeld to put BMW on 3rd! his qualifying run in Q2 was spectacular – brushing the “wall of champions” on his way to 3rd.
Massa does not seem to be on the pace this weekend, and instead Raikkonen is holding up the Ferrari challenge. Still, the Ferraris seem to be falling back from McLaren.
Well done to Webber and Rosberg… but let’s see how they hold up during the race. Special mention goes to Sato too. Amusing to see the customer Honda team doing better than the Factory Honda team…. Honda really messed up their 2007 challenger.
Ralf Schumacher’s poor form seems to spell the end of his F1 career… whilst Kovalainen is still struggling to get to grips with F1.
