what action should we take from here now?

My opnion that we take only 10 races per year over longer period of contract. Enduro replace with other format uses 80s or 100s. Aside to difficulty of getting drivers for k1 for enduro, it also safety concern. xD

agreed. we should discuss and agree with AP on this.
Not quite understand this part

“125cc INDIVIDUAL RACE
Year Rate Format
2007 RM 220 / head Heat 1 – 8 laps
2008 RM 220 /head Heat 2 – 8 laps
2009 RM 200 /head Final – 8 laps”

was that saying year 1 or heat 1 that cost RM220 at the very first line?

My personal opinion that RM220 per head is doable. 10 drivers per race and 6 endurance races 125cc will be the hard part.
if i remember correctly, i don’t have the document with me now… the price was displayed as follows:

[table year|rate|format
2007|RM220/head|Heat 1 – 8 laps; Heat 2 – 8 laps; Final – 8 laps
2008|RM220/head|^
2009|RM200/head|^]

agree with luen that the price is do-able, but the 10 karts per race for 10 races and 6 enduros is a bit more difficult. 10 karts for 6 enduros is more difficult than getting 10 karts over 10 K1 rounds.

as we mentioned before, we should perhaps adjust the 6 enduros to be done via K2/K3 compensation… say having 10 80cc team races like the A1TM event.

not sure about fisi. he was nowhere last year compared to alonso.

well done to Alonso for his second Monaco win!

Well done Hamilton and McLaren for the 1-2. Excellent drive by both McLaren drivers. Both drivers showing great quality pushing each other all the way throughout the 78 lap race. Alonso and Hamilton tie for the championship lead.

Massa salvages precious points to stay in the hunt.

Kimi manages the last point to salvage a disastrous weekend.

Fisico finishes in an all important 4th place. Finally Fisico and Renault showing some speed.

Both BMW drivers finished in the points in 5th and 6th, with Kubica ahead of Heidfeld. Now, how did that happen? Heidfeld seemed to have a good 1st stint. But a slow 1st stop.

Wurz scores his first point for Williams.

anyway.. hows the K4 category coming along? is the program still valid at citykarting? wanna pickup where i left off with my son…

this is still in the pipeline… although we may just need to go with it first. just have a do for kids and see how many turn up. does not have to be a “race” format. just a place for the kids with similar interests to meet up and go on the track with each other.

this is excellent stuff. i would like more updates on ikhwan’s progress. so let’s keep this thread alive.

i’m impressed with the achievements. keep it up. just remember to build on that mental strength. racing is a psychological game!

4 races over. what an amazing start to the 2007 season.

although on track excitement has been limited (as has been for years now), the developments in the championship table and prospects for the remainder of 2007 is looking awesome.

who would have thought that a rookie would be leading the championship after 4 races? hamilton’s sheer consistency is excellent. he should be winning soon. his presence must be doing something to alonso, for i thought he was over impatient to take massa so soon after the start. perhaps he was worried that massa would pull off into the distance – such was massa’s dominant pace. but sometimes, i can’t help but think that alonso wants to put a one up on hamilton.

both mclaren drivers lead the championship, but it is the ferraris that look so strong. massa is recovering very quickly from his poor start to the season and is now within striking distance of the championship lead.

[table driver|points
L.Hamilton|30
F.Alonso|28
F.Massa|27
K.Räikkönen|22
N.Heidfeld|15
R.Kubica|8]

aside from hamilton doing so well, i am truly surprised and impressed by massa’s speed. raikkonen needs to think how unlucky f1 can be. many were predicting that kimi would smoke massa. that has not happened.

the best of the rest is clearly BMW. But gosh, i wish they had more exciting drivers. Still heidfeld has been doing a solid job so far. Nice race from Kubica. DC’s fifth place is impressive – the guy still is quick. Good to see Rosberg in the points and finally Kovalainen a glimpse of his promise. The final point going to Sato is a sweet one. Well done Taku.
