Now I dun know how more clearly I have to tell you this without sounding too direct.
thanks jules. i like direct. always the best way when communicating.
so it is clear that it is not exclusive then.
under normal circumstances, this is no biggie… but i wonder if the deal we are getting is the same or better than the corporate customers? certainly we need to be very clear with AP on this.

Member
If you want me to say it – the CRG karts even when u sign the contract WILL NOT be for MyKart SOLE use only during the tenure of your lease – this opinion I formed after I spoke to AP on last Saturday.
I am trying to make sure you guys come to a common understanding to ensure this progresses to where you all want it to be and his statement was not in line with what I read and hear on this forum.
Just my advise.
jules. thanks for the advise. if this is the case, then we need to be very clear on the definitions.
to remove doubt, i’d be interested to know what was his ACTUAL statement in this regard. i emphasised the key words above. i would like to understand whether he ACTUALLY SAID that the karts will not be solely for my-KART or whether it is your OPINION after reading between the lines.

Member
sorry to be a wet blanket but please clarify with AP the meaning “exclusive use for My-Kart” only – before even bringing him any papers to sign.
thanks for the advise. please let us know how “exclusive use” can be interpreted any other way.

Member
you did? i was not involved…i thought it was a group “huddle”. I was in discussions with Pak Kambing….
Shall we formally call one after the May 5th race – at the usual makan place or we could even go to another Shah Alam eatery (Sabelt has some recommendations)…
no problems. we should have a quick one to re-establish the roles. now, the only thing is the constitution prescribes a few roles already. i am just wondering whether it will be compatible with the ones we’ve previously defined.
the other items on the agenda may be –
a. decision and way forward re the CRG/PRD offer
b. my-KART launch updatesfazz

Member
Now that we have elected the club’s main committee, the first Main Committee meeting will have to convene soon within a month from 28th April 07 as the Sports Commissioner will expect the first report or face a summon…aiyoh, tough la these guys!
serious ah?
i thought we had convened one quick committee meeting after the AGM?
btw, are the roles subject to change?

Member
Perhaps a discount can be given for MyKart members who commit to the CRG/PRD for an X number of races (prepaid scheme)? Say RM220 for 3 races prepaid and RM200 for 5 races prepaid. This would help in getting the minimum numbers required.
good idea. would put this as part of the deal.

Member
We need to decide the number of drivers per team ASAP. My vote will goes to 2 drivers format.
the decision on number of drivers per team is probably tied to the cost per driver. i am going to assume first that we are going to run on 80cc. the logic being, we want to open IC3 to a new market of drivers and not the normal people who join our KART and enduro series.
we need to agree on the price per 80cc kart per hour. the CK pricing for the A1TM event is RM280 per kart per hour. so if we go for 2 drivers it would be RM140 per driver. a bit steep, i think – esp for newbies.
pls note that the CK pricing for A1TM is for afternoon session where they charge by time block, instead of the normal per 8 lap race charge we get for the K3 series. we should aim to nego further, and perhaps event slot the IC3 for morning session – when there is no crowd to get better rates.
i would aim to keep the rate per driver no more than RM100.
in the longer term, we may look at IC3 on a 100cc basis as well.

Member
It would be a good idea to restrict the RM160 price to MyKart Club members. Perhaps MyKart website member can also rent the kart but at a higher rate like RM250? The difference will means extra $$$ for the club coffers. Admin wise maybe can inform CK only MyKart Club elected officials can make the bookings?
bro, i am thinking that the my-kart paid members would pay (say) RM250 per K1/CRG round. the CRG/125cc is a sufficient differentiator to the 100cc rentals to warrant a price differential:
[table class|cost|member price|non-member price|diff to prev class
K3/80cc|RM80|RM80|RM90|n/a
K2/100cc|RM160|RM160|RM170|+RM80 & +RM80
K1/CRG/PRD125cc|RM160|RM250|RM300|+RM90 & +RM130]this extra margins would be useful for the club coffers. the margin for the K1 is also important given that year 2 & 3 increases would be additional RM10 each year. Also the margin will need to cater for the potential under utilisation if we run less than the allocated number of karts we requested.

Memberthanks luen for the analysis. so my take away here is that the current rates is still do-able for CK because of the enduro requirements.
the main challenge for us is if we wish to have 10 K1/CRGs then we need to have exactly 10 karts running 10 K1 rounds PLUS 10 teams running 6 enduro rounds. what happens if we fall short of the 10 karts per race… do we have to top up? running 10 for the enduro might be a little difficult given our experience in our MEGA enduro – which averages 7 teams per enduro round.
in short, there are some catches which we need to assess if we can overcome.

Memberreminder: this thread is readable only in my-KART Coreok team, let’s wrap this discussion up.
correct me if i am wrong, but we had a discussion within the new club committee after the AGM and agreed that we shall do the following:
- agree to take up Citykarting’s offer of the CRG/PRD125cc aircool karts at RM160 per kart per event (what event format huh?)
- we shall maintain the K3/80cc rentals, the K2/100cc rentals, but include this CRD/PRD125a/c as the K1 entry class. The K1 can remain an open class, but the PRD will be in a sub-category like our K2-45 and K2-70
- we need to implement a price differential between the K1/CRG/PRD125 and the K2/100cc rentals: i would suggest (say) K1 at RM250 (paying members only) and maintain K2 at RM170 non-members / RM160 members
The rationale for maintaining the K2/100cc rentals is to allow us to have a good ladder from K3. The K1/CRG/PRD125 at a price of (say) RM250 for members is a good differentiator and a suitable ladder up from the K2 class… esp with world class CRG chassis and 125 air cool engines.
I would like to restrict this benefit to members only, as this is clearly a deal which you cannot get anywhere (what is the catch, naza?). Also need to ensure that benefits of being a my-kart member is created here.
so what say you?

Member
administratively, I’d like to avoid managing exceptions and seeking proof of studying. hence my suggestion for 23 – high probability of being employed.
team – i would like to resolve this discussion so that we can update the my-KART Reference Manual on the section on members benefits.

Member
Folks,
What do you say, shall we take up the offer?
i think we should, but let’s understand the details, conditions and implications fully. i guess we can meet with AP on saturday before or after our AGM?
