Member
Hi all,
after discussion with Bro Naza and Tarmizi, we agreed that 1 hour race for 3 drivers per team is simply to pack to practise and race.
bro… i was thinking about this… i think 1 hour for 3 drivers is do-able. so i am not sure how would it be too packed. perhaps you can elaborate?

Memberfolks – i hope you spare any judgement on the kart operators or the circuit owners, or anybody else. i spoke to kartquest to express my regrets as this impacts us as much as them.
this is a most difficult time for the karting community in the country. i hope we do not see any knee-jerk reactions here. i for one will be planning to see kartquest and some of the authorities (malaysian motorsports commission – yusnee, can you help arrange a meeting with en nordin) other operators and possibly aam. i would like to ensure that when we emphasise safety that it would not be at the expense of killing the sport.
let’s allow the police to do their investigation and learn from the outcomes of what happened.

Memberluen – thanks for this. i have included tarmizi in “core”. i would not want to increase race time as we have a time limitation. would rather reduce drivers and keep to 80cc with 100cc as an option for advanced drivers.

Membermy condolences goes to the person’s family.
this very tragic incident is something that we hoped that we will never see in the country, but at all times fully aware that the dangers are real. i am very sad that this has happened to a fellow karting enthusiast.
we must strengthen our resolve to improve safety of the sport in order for it to grow. as always, safety first. let’s understand how to improve further.

Memberround 2 – malaysia
alonso shows once again why he is a double world champion. excellent start and making the most of his advantage. in melbourne he bade his time and took the opportunity when it presented itself.

Member
there is a short show of the prospect of Singapore hosting the F1 and the possible drive on the possible street track on Engine Block (Starsports) right now
i think this will blow the socks off of sepang. it will be quite a spectacle. to me, the best way to bring racing to a young motorsports nation is to bring the race to the people, to the towns. all racing in europe started off that way.

good suggestion mark. whilst we are working on the other initiatives like the club launch and tie ups, we should also bear this and our club’s social activities in mind.

Member
To whom it may concern 😉 .. not sure you heard bout this or not, Michael Schumacher is to have a section of the famous Nurburgring circuit named after him ahead of this year’s German Grand Prix. Schumacher won at the track five times during his illustrious Formula One career.
The ‘Schumacher S’ (formerly the ‘Audi S’) is a fast left-right section midway around the Nurburgring lap. The seven-time world champion will get another chance to sample the corner when he completes a special lap of honour before the 2007 German Grand Prix on July 22.
… he has retired, but not forgotten!! 🙂

it would be interesting if he completes his lap of honour faster than the polesitter. lol. 😀

have a go now… need to get a better smileys package…
🙂

Membernohad –
“code c” button: you should use this if you want to type in monospace fonts. eg.
this is a monospace paragraph….
“close all open tags”: if you have multiple tags open, then the close all tags allows you to do just that.
as for the smileys…. i will try to do this. but i am missing the smileys package for phpBB.
